audrey renee wood try, with a little help from my friends by, with a little help from my friends
Where was her mind? Audrey Wood just did not know. She’d been in a bit of a dither all afternoon really. Trying to clean her house and prepare food. In no less then twenty minutes she was expecting friends over for a lovely dinner party. Audrey liked the fact that she could do that. Have adult things like dinner parties. It was one of the many plusses of living off campus. Besides, Audrey was more inclined to have an intimate event with a few friends then a huge party. She preferred the first. Not to mention the fact that her apartment was barely big enough for even a small party.
Audrey really enjoyed entertaining though. She had spent the better part of her day cleaning the studio apartment and setting the table and pulling out the funky plates she only used when company was over. Preparing was actually half the fun for Audrey. Colour matching the candles to the place mats gave her more pleasure then it should. Then colour coordinating anything gave the blonde pleasure. So did re-ordering her pantry by foot sort and alphabetical order, but that was another story. In her defence though, it was so much easier to find what you needed. It halved cooking time.. sort of.
Brushing some blonde fringe from her eyes, Audrey picked up the knife she had set down only moments before. Resuming her task in dicing lamb. Audrey had decided to make something of a Thai food banquet for the dinner party. It was much nicer and pleased everyone more when you had choices. It also meant she didn’t need to just cook one dish sticking to all her friends dietary wants. It did, however, make the preparation a little harder, as she had several dishes to make. Perhaps that was why she was so harassed? She’d probably just tried to do too much.
Hearing a slight sizzling from the stove, Audrey put down her knife. “Oh! Motherchucker!” Turning, she hurried to turn her Cashew chicken before she spoiled the dish and burnt it. Wiping her raw lambed hands on the apron she had put on to protect her dress, Audrey picked up the wooden spoon and stirred the dish. At least none of it seemed to be stuck to the bottom of the pot. That was a very good start. Putting down the spoon, she picked up another spoon, leaning over to stir the pad-tai in the wok behind the pot. At least it all smelt really good. That was a start.
O O C;;; Alright, I don't want this to be too chaotic, so there will be a post order, and it will be whatever order intros post in. Don't post in order and you will be deleted mkay? Only people who are friends with Audrey. (If you want them to be friends, PM me).

I'VE GOT THIS FILM IN MY HEAD They've scripted all that I've said.- - - - - Amanda was diverse in her social networking range. She had several different kinds of friends from different lifestyles that gave Mandy a balanced lifestyle herself. While she could be a wild party girl with her best friend Callie, she could also settle with a quiet dinner party with a few friends. That was one reason Mandy appreciated Audrey's mature personality, because she got to be a part of the classier kind of parties that mature adults went to. It was a nice break from the nights of not remembering anything after being at some club with Callie. Surprisingly enough, Amanda could find dinner parties to be entertaining enough that she never found them boring. That was unless of course it was some dinner party with all other guests over the age of 60. She couldn't relate to much of the conversation at those kinds of gatherings. Fortunately, she and Audrey always had things to talk about.
Mandy wasn't too sure who else was coming to the dinner party, but she wasn't all that worried. She didn't usually have a lot of problems with meeting new people, unless they were mindless idiots who grouped her into a stereotype as Callie's friend and decided they didn't like her. Sometimes that was a bit of a downside to being Callie's friend. The girl did things to make people hate her, and therefore those people hated Mandy by association. As far as Amanda could see it, she didn't want to be friends with anyone that could judge her so easily anyway. Again, Audrey was one of those people that had proved to be worth her friendship, considering that she didn't judge Amanda by her close relationship with Callie.
It had only taken an hour or so for the girl to get prepared for dinner, and had spent most of her time drying and taming the endless mess of blonde waves after her shower. After much hair styling product, she finally found herself satisfied with leaving the golden locks loose among her shoulders, pulled back slightly on one side with a sleek, stylish hair clip. The application of her makeup didn't take too long, having put on a bit of smokey grey eyeshadow and dark mascara, as well as a slight hint of a rose lip color. The colors were classy enough for a dinner party, but also coordinated to work with her dress. She wore a knee-length, flowing, grey halter-neck dress that had a sort of plain, rose-pink colored, wide belt around her stomach to pull the fabric in at the top and let it flow at the bottom. Her shoulders and arms were covered with a small black button-up cardigan, and her feet were slipped into a pair of plain black leather flats that had a small bow on the top of each foot.
Mandy was usually good at being punctual when people invited her to things, so she arrived at Audrey's apartment right on schedule. The girl was curious to see who else would be there, and if she was the first to arrive. More importantly, she was excited for Audrey's dinner, considering Mandy knew the girl was quite a fantastic cook. She'd never tasted anything her friend had made that she didn't think was extraordinarily tasty. With a knock on the door, Amanda stood outside of Audrey's apartment, waiting patiently for it to be answered.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

audrey renee wood try, with a little help from my friends by, with a little help from my friends
Hearing the knock on the door, Audrey felt a thrill of excitement. She knew that it was going to be Amanda. They had already planned for her to come about half an hour earlier then the time she had given the others. She hadn’t really hung out with the girl in a long time, and she felt in need of some girl time with her. Especially considering the topic she had on her mind to talk about. Amanda wasn’t her best friend, but she did know a thing or two when it came to men and more importantly sex. Which was why she was wanting to talk to her.
She needed a second opinion. Even though it probably wouldn’t change things, she just wanted to know what someone else thought about the whole Noah situation. Audrey wasn’t usually one to care what other people thought of her actions. She was very set in herself and her beliefs. In other words she had a very strong personal moral compose. It was nice though to have things affirmed from time to time. Not that she knew Amanda would agree with her decision. Either way, talking about it would help clear her head.
Putting down her spoon, Audrey turned down all the burners. The last thing she wanted to do was burn the food while she was busy playing perfect hostess. Which was more then likely. While Audrey was a good cook, and she was meticulously organised in every other aspect of her life, when it came to cooking she was surprisingly scattered. Moving to the sink, she quickly turned on the water, washing any food from her hands. She then dried them on her apron, moving from the kitchen into the hall.
The blonde ran a hand through her hair. Pushing the curls that had not made it up with the rest of her hair out of her eyes. She wanted to look nice. Just in case, you know, someone else had decided to come early. Someone boy shaped with an amazing body. A slight smirk tugged at her lips. She had always appreciated the fact Noah was very in shape but it wasn’t until recently that she really fully appreciated it. What could she say, the boy was ripped. She didn’t think she’d ever slept with anyone with such a nice body.
Audrey unlatched the door, and opened it. Just as she had expected, it was Amanda. A grin spread across her features as she stepped aside to let her in. Though she couldn’t help but feel a slight twinge of disappointment. Seeing Noah at her door would have been nice. “Hey you, come on in.”

I'VE GOT THIS FILM IN MY HEAD They've scripted all that I've said.- - - - - Upon the pleasant appearance of Audrey at the door, Amanda let an excited grin play across her features. "Hey!" she greeted happily, accepting the invitation to step inside the girl's apartment. Once inside, she looked at her friend and nodded approvingly. "Looking snazzy, as always." she complimented, emphasizing a small wink with her words. The young woman couldn't help but immediately notice the delicous smell drifting from the kitchen. It was a warm and inviting notion upon entering her friend's apartment, to smell such a tempting meal being prepared. "Damn, Audrey. Something smells delicious." she said excitedly, rubbing her hands together. She knew she was early, but the idea of soon tasting Audrey's dinner was something to clearly be excited about. Amanda didn't often get to indulge in home cooked meals anymore, much like most other university students that lived away from home. Making her way further into the girl's apartment, Mandy found a spot on the couch in Audrey's living room. "So are you expecting a lot of people tonight? Anyone I know? Anyone special?" she asked curiously, looking at her friend as she spoke, an interested smile on her face. Amanda always liked to hear of the exciting happenings in the lives of her friends. It wasn't that she thrived on social gossip like some people did, but simply listening to people kept her in touch quite well. Contrasting with the beliefs of some, Amanda surely could exist without being entirely consumed by her own life. Mandy enjoyed being able to relate to so many different people at the university. It was part of the reason she had an abundant collection of friends in all the majors offered, because she was capable of socializing with people outside her immediate circle of interests. When given a chance, the girl could prove she was quite a loyal friend. Mind you, sometimes it took a while to get to that point of mutual trust with the girl, but if you had the patience to stick around, Mandy always proved that her friendship was worthwhile.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Audrey grinned at her friend, curtsying just slightly before laughing softly. She wasn’t exactly sure she looked ‘snazzy’ or whatever Manda had said, but the words were still appreciated. It was nice to get compliments. Especially when she had actually put some effort into getting ready. It would have been rather disappointing had Amanda said she looked tired or asked when she was going to get dressed. “Well, I do try to look good.” She gave a casual shrug, acting coy about the whole thing. “You don’t look so bad yourself miss Amos. Very classy.” She gave the other female a wink as she closed the door. Neglecting to dead-bolt it in anticipation of more guests coming.
Due to the very open plan of her studio apartment, Audrey could rather comfortably head back to her preparations in the kitchen and still converse with Amanda on the couch. Audrey loved that fact about her apartment. It made entertaining a lot more enjoyable. She could be in the kitchen and prepare the meal without feeling out of it with everyone else. Picking up her knife, Audrey resumed her task of dicing lamb. “Well I hope it all tastes good.” She picked up a new piece of meat. “I’ve been a bit ambitious. I’m trying to cook a Thai banquet. Which means a lot of juggling as I’m cooking like four dishes.”
As if to prove her point, she set down her knife, wiped her hands then turned to check on all the food on the burners. Stirring various things so nothing stuck to the bottom of the pans or burned. If she burnt something now, she wouldn’t have time to start again, then there was a chance she wouldn’t have enough food. Sure, she had catered for a lot more then she needed but that didn’t mean she wasn’t going to stress about not enough food. She was like that though, always worrying about things. She was such a stress head.
Once the lamb was diced, Audrey moved to the sink and washed her hands. Maybe it was her OCD coming through, but she was meticulous about washing her hands in between dealing with different sorts of food. Especially raw meat. Once her hands were clean, Audrey moved to set up a new burner, setting a wok on top. While she waited for the wok to heat up, the blonde started chopping vegetables for the sweet chilli stir-fry. Glancing up at Amanda and smiling. It was a good thing Amanda had surpassed the guest stage, or she could have felt awkward while Audrey cooked.
With the wok hot enough, she dumped in the diced lamb, setting the vegetables aside. Stir-fry was something you made last moment. She’d cook the meat then throw it all together in the wok just before cooking. Now she had a moment to relax. Opening the fridge, she got out a bottle of wine. “Oh, you know. The usual crowd..” She gave a slight shrug. “You know Noah can’t pass up a free meal.” She felt a slight thrill at mentioning his name. She collected two glasses and filled each of them with wine, before carrying them both to the couch, offering Amanda a glass before sitting down.

I'VE GOT THIS FILM IN MY HEAD They've scripted all that I've said.- - - - - Just listening to Audrey talk about what she was cooking was enough to make Amanda all that much more excited to taste the meal. "I'm pretty sure it will taste delicious." the girl told her friend, in an assuring tone. Mandy wasn't a very picky person when it came to trying different types of cuisine, but there were a few odd things here and there that didn't really appeal to her tastes. Most of the things she didn't like were just dishes that either her parents didn't know how to cook, or they just cooked them in a certain way that Mandy didn't quite enjoy. Thai food wasn't something that the girl ate often, but she did enjoy it quite a bit. "Oh man, I remember this one time that I attempted to cook a family dinner when I was in high school. I'd been taking a mandatory cooking class, so I thought I was just the best chef ever. I ended up trying to make some complicated pasta dish with all these other small dishes on the side, but since I clearly wasn't the Iron Chef that I assumed I was, I timed everything wrong and all the dishes turned out to be absolutely disgusting." she explained, laughing softly as she paused. "It was pretty embarassing, especially when my mother offered to take everyone out for pizza, to make up for my disaster." she added, shrugging softly as a smirk occupied her facial expression. As she spoke, the girl sat comfortably on Audrey's couch, her legs crossed, her eyes observing the movements of her friend in the kitchen. She smoothed her hands over her legs, flattening her dress a little so it wouldn't wrinkle. "Let me know if there's anything I can do to help " she suggested. "Even though after my little story you probably don't want my help..." she added with a chuckle. "I can assure you, I'm not as terrible as I used to be." the girl said innocently, a grin on her face. Mandy didn't cook very often, but she could handle most general cooking techniques in the kitchen. Plus, it was just a nice thing to do, offering a hand when someone is generous enough to invite you into their home and cook dinner for you. Mandy was certain that if it was Callie in her position, she'd probably do the opposite of displaying good manners. Accepting the glass of wine from Audrey as she came to the couch, Amanda smiled appreciatively. "Thanks hun." she said politely. When the girl mentioned the guests, and Noah in particular, Mandy noticed the undertone of emphasis in mentioning he would be attending. An interested smirk took over her face and she sipped at the wine, looking at Audrey with a brow risen. "Noah, eh?" she was curious to know what was happening with her friend and this guy of hers. "How is it going with him?" she asked.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

How were things going with Noah? What a loaded question. A loaded question indeed. Audrey fought hard to keep a smirk from her features. She honestly couldn’t deny that she was a little smug over the whole thing with Noah. It didn’t evade Audrey just how sort after the boy was. Even if he didn’t know it. His body was a hot commodity among the seniors, which probably put Audrey on many hit lists. It was amusing really. Noah had always been so close with the girl. She had never had to work for his affections at all. Which was good, because Audrey didn’t do the whole, vying for affection thing. You either liked her or you didn’t. End of story.
Taking a sip of her drink, Audrey wiggled her eye-brows a little. “Well let’s put it this way. He won’t be going home tonight, I can assure you.” Sure, she might have been boasting just a little but it was completely true. They could barely be in the same room without wanting to jump each other. Combine the lust with some wine and the fact that the boy will be happily fed? Well he’ll be ushering the rest of their friends out the door. Not that Audrey will complain at all. She’d just make him help clean up before he got the goods. She wasn’t silly.
With a smile still on her features, Audrey let out a wishful sigh. She couldn’t just blame Noah for their very active sex life. She was really just as bad. She’d never been so… physical with anyone before. Sure, she’d been in sexual relationships before, but never once had she wanted it so much as she did with Noah. Which lead her to question what was really happening with the boy. She knew enough about how she worked to know that normally her sex drive was linked to some sort of real feelings. She couldn’t have real feelings for Noah though. They were just friends.
Taking another sip, she took a few moments to compose her thoughts. She wasn’t sure what she wanted to say to Amanda. How to open the topic up. “Everything is great.” she stated casually. “The sex is really good.” She added with a laugh. “It’s sort of, a moral issue though. I mean. Is having loveless sex with my best friend a bad idea?” The youth glanced at her wine, sighing slightly. “I kind of think sex normally leads to feelings. Which would just screw up the screwing.” She paused, grinning. “No pun intended.”
