I'm a good excuse To be a bad influence on you
Nate's phone buzzed as Amanda's reply came. Sounds good! Of course, the boy'd already been alerting the frat brothers of the party, so this was irrelevant. They would've shown up either way and there would be a party either way. Still, it was probably good that Amanda had approved. Showing up somewhat unannounced always brought awkward little issues. Though it wasn't as if she would've denied them permission. She had been the one to suggest them coming over in the first place. Why did he even ask permission in the first place? Had he asked permission or was it just announcing his eminent arrival in the form of a question?
The boy, of course, did not dwell on this issue for more than three minutes, the amount of time it took for him to throw on some acceptable clothing and run a comb through his hair. He quickly stepped out, leaving his slightly lethargic fraternity brothers behind. They always took a bit to get themselves together. As per usual Seattle weather, the nighttime rain fell steadily. As per usual Nathaniel Moore hard-headed-ness, he didn't bother running back in for a jacket, despite the fact that he was not three feet from the door. No, this one was going to walk through the rain in little more than a thin cotton tee-shirt and jeans.
Luckily, the walk was short, and within ten minutes, the boy was outside the Delta Gamma house. He could hear the sounds of a party going on inside, though it was markedly tamer than some of the parties the fraternity had thrown over at their house. Taking only the slight courtesy to shake off some of the rain on him, Nate stepped in without much ceremony. There was no need to knock. He'd been over many times. He knew the place well by now, especially more than a few of the sisters' bedrooms.
The boy ignored the few dirty looks he immediately received and scanned the area of Amanda Amos. He'd decided that he wouldn't go about chasing an innocent pledge today. No, he'd take the unusual high road and just hang out with Mandy, who'd invited him over in the first place. It just seemed right. Besides, as long as there was alcohol, he would be able to have fun, with or without seeing the inside of someone's bedroom.
Nate caught what looked suspiciously like whispers combined with looks his way. Normally, he wouldn't really have been bothered, it wasn't as if it was anything new, but he felt oddly isolated without any friends or brothers around. God damn it, where was that girl?

*AMANDAAMOS.WE'RE HAVING THE BEST TIME* living the fast life!
- - - - - Amanda could admit that she'd had plenty of great parties with just her girlfriends, but it was never the same as a party with the boys from the Kappa Sigma house. When both sororitys got together to let loose and have a little fun, it usually produced some of the most talked about parties in the chain of gossip at WUofA. Tonight wasn't exactly one of the 'invite everyone you see for a party at delta' night, it was kind of a smaller party, often the way the larger parties started out at the beginning of the night. It was one of the newer sorority sister's birthday parties, and it'd been going on for at least an hour before Amanda had found it in need of a little more excitement.
That had been about the time she'd decided to text Nathaniel, because the girl was both in need of enterainment, and of a visit from her number one boytoy. Plus, he'd bring some of his boys from Kappa, which would help liven up the party a little bit and teach some of her new girls how to party. As of now, the party seemed to be just beginning, and the music was starting to get a few people dancing, while someone was setting up a karaoke station in the living room. The kitchen was scattered with a wide arrangement of alcohol, some of which Amanda had already gotten into. It was already causing the blonde to feel a bit tipsy.
Wearing a royal blue, flowing halter top, and a mid-thigh length jean skirt, Mandy had curled her hair and left it to hang loose about her bare shoulders. Compared to a few of the other girls at the party, she was particularly clothed. The birthday girl was dancing her ass off to the karaoke music in the living room, and Amanda was having an incredible time laughing at the intoxicated style of movements the girl was claiming to be dancing. Taking a sip of the dark mixed drink in the plastic cup she'd poured for herself, Amanda cheered a few of the girls on as they joined in the dancing and started a new karaoke song.
A few murmurs crossed the room and Amanda heard Nathaniel's name, turning to find her friend at the entrance to the living room. Grinning happily, she hopped off the arm of the couch she'd been sitting on, and carefully made her way through the crowd of people to greet the boy. "Natty!" she shouted happily, just to grab his attention before she threw her arms around his neck and drew him closer to her. Realizing he was slightly wet from the rain outside, she laughed. "Thanks for coming! You could've thrown on a coat, y'know." she said with a smirk, pressing a kiss to his cheek.
