"I lift you up inside, out in to the night."
Eden's head bobbed up and down as her boombox emitted an electronic dance sound from its depths. She should have been alone at this time of night. A sigh escaped lips that were slightly upturned, a pencil prodding at their depths. The teen couldn't help but swish her feet to the beat of the music, which in turn cause a bit of splashing noise.
"I'll lift you up, prepare for the fight."
Eden sat outside. The only thing that distinguished her from the darkened surroundings was the moonlight's trademark glow coupled with the soft yellow being produced from overhead. The pool lights were dimmed, but not off. A switch off to the side of the bodied water signaled their intensity, and she had purposefully left it down. She preferred the dark when she was thinking.
"I'll lift you up inside, I'll be right by your side."
Her feet were encased by the water. It was warmer than she had expected. Her bathing suit lay nearby, but she was reluctant to put it on at the moment. Instead she stared down at a book that she couldn't read because of the light. She held her pencil, prodding the eraser at her lower lip, as if this would help her understand the text she couldn't make out. "I just had to choose film," she sighed. A second later, all of those thoughts were pushed out of her head. A wooshing sound was made, and all of her attention was directed towards that. Eden dropped the book, almost in the water, before standing upright and staring upwards. The song had long since ended and all she could hear was her heartbeat.
As she stared up at the moon, however, the culprit made no more movement. "I wonder," she mused, twirling gently in her spot, before smiling. With a shake of her head, she reached down and elongated the distance between the water and her combat boots, which had long since been discarded. She was left wearing a rather plain white sundress that flowed naturally around her body. The silver trim was barely noticeable. The straps were thin and it ended just above her knees. The contrast of her dark hair, the boots, and the white of the dress was a rather interesting mix.
"I asked you to dance, you said: sorry, I prefer to dance alone."
It was the lyric this time that distracted her, and without further hesitation, Eden's arms rose in the air, and she began to dance. Her eyes shut, and she twirled, before letting one arm drop down around her hair. Her movements were graceful; majestic, even, as her body moved with the beat. A grin came over her features and her eyes parted. They gazed at the moon as she continued to dance. There was just something pleasantly off about this girl.
"Dance, if you want to. Don't ignore the sound.
Eden's eyes closed again. She was dancing with herself, and yes, she was having quite the time of it.[/blockquote][/blockquote]
