Oye with the poodles already
Ella let out a laugh. Sometimes it was good to break the tension like that, after a particularly full on scene. It helped relax Ella a little, so she wasn’t still caught up in the scene. It also kept the rehearsal less intense. There was nothing worse then a very serious environment. It was hard to be creative when you weren’t enjoying yourself just a little. She shook her head at Allen. “I think we are all a little unco at times.” She moved to pick up her own chair, setting it back at the table.
“Oh? Nah. I’ve got some water in my bag.” She smiled a little. Moving back to her own bag and digging around before pulling out a bottle of water and taking a swig. Wiping her mouth afterwards and replacing the bottle back into her bag. After stretching a little, she moved back into the performance area. She wasn’t going to let the small blocking issue harsh the mellow they had going on. The best thing to do was to just not let it phase you and jump back into it. Which is what she and Allen were going to do. “Alright, we’ll go from my line.”
She picked up her script to look at it for a moment, reading over the lines in her head for a second. “I think we are already standing at this point.” She put down her script, and moved to stand by the table. “Ready?” She raised an eyebrow, waiting for the boy before starting. “How dare you speak to me like that!” She attempted to scream, stepping around the table. “How dare you! I’ve never been so insulted in all my life! How dare you!” She glared at Lee, chest heaving in ‘anger’.

Pay no attention To the man behind the curtain Allen nodded lightly and took another sip of his water, it really didn’t shock him that Ella had a bottle of water in her bag because she really seemed to be professional. He put the lid on the bottle and bounced a little to get psyched up. It was like a ritual only he didn’t do it often, only when he needed to get to a really energetic place quickly. Normally he’d be able to build up slowly but once he broke character during a scene and needed to get back to a certain level of intensity he would jump about, he didn’t know why it worked for him all he knew is that it worked. He walked over to the table and leaned on it letting himself begin to get back into character. He nodded in response but didn’t say anything.
He looked at his script on the table and tried to memorize his little monologue bit. It wasn’t huge so he could probably do it and if not he could fake it. It was mostly the blocking that they were working on at the moment but he also wanted to try and get the lines down as soon as possible, it’d make his hand movements a lot easier to work on. He looked at Ella and nodded letting her know he was ready. He stood there seething as she screamed her dialogue at him. His fingers white knuckled onto the back of the chair that he had thrown before and when she finished he threw the chair back violently, it hit the wall with a thud and he stared roaring his lines “It's a tremendous relief to me to have an excuse to insult you” he said slowly beginning to advance on Ella, keeping his eye’s angry and his voice as loud as possible “I've had to listen to your weeping and wailings for days” He said, so far not forgetting his words and feeling better about it “You've clacked at me, and snivelled at me until you've nearly driven me insane and I controlled my nerves and continued to try to help you and look after you, because I was sorry for you” he said counting them off on his fingers as he got closer and slower until he was standing toe to toe with Bella, trying to look as imposing as possible and not lowering his tone or volume, going for maximum anger and if it was to much he’d pull back later “I always thought you were stupid from the first, but I must say I never realized that you were a malicious little vixen as well!” he said making sure he sounded as angry as possible and mentally preparing for the slap, he was close enough that it’d probably sting but it’d be dramatic as hell so he’d roll with it.

Oye with the poodles already
Ella was rather impressed with the way they had just stepped back into the scene. It was hard to do sometimes, especially with the sort of scene they were doing. One that called for a heightened sense of emotion. Anger was a hard emotion for Ella to play. Sure, she got angry but when things really riled her up. It wasn’t an emotion that Ella found easily accessible. She also was more one to rant to someone else and not the person she was actually angry at. Though it was probably more healthier if she learnt to be more honest with people and told them how she felt.
That was something she could figure out later, not when she was supposed to be acting. As ‘Victor’ approached her, Ella shuffled backwards slightly. As if Sibyl was trying to get away from the man advancing on her. Though Ella was careful not to move to far back or they’d be faced with the same issue as they had before when it came to the slap. With each sentence her eyes widened further. At one point she even gasped in faux self righteousness. As if Sibyl was utterly affronted that anyone would ever say such things about her.
“Stop it! Stop it! You insufferable great brute!” Ella shrieked at him. Raising her hand as she spoke and bringing it across Allen’s face. She was attempting to make it look good, yet not contact his skin. However she must have misjudged because as it contacted, Ella heard the slap sound and dropped character completely, she pulled her hand down at let out a gasp. “Oh my god.” She stared at the boy, horror struck. “I’m so sorry. Are you okay?”

Pay no attention To the man behind the curtain Allen was really proud of how well this was going, he was just watching Ella backing up and knowing soon he’d have to fake a slap, he didn’t know how he could hide a clap while she hit him but it turned out he really didn’t need to. He felt her hand connecting with his cheek, the pain was instant but it wasn’t huge. He swung his head and to his credit he didn’t break character until he heard Ella break hers. He put his hand to his sore cheek and looked at her “I’m fine Ella, just a slap” he said standing up and cricking his neck, his hand still on his sore cheek “Trust me I’ve had worse” he said with a smile slowly letting his hand stop holding his cheek. “See no bruise, no lump… OK it stings a little bit but damn that was awesome” he said slowly walking over to where the bottled water was and held his cold one to his cheek “OK it’s a builder, you got some slapping skills… but still when we do it for teacher you so gotta slap me again because that was dramatic” he said happily, before turning away to make the slight pain face.
He shook it off and leaned against the wall. He opened the bottle of water and took a sip of the cool refreshing liquid to keep his throat from going completely dry “Ok do I really need to shake you afterwards or could we just stop after you slap me?” he asked Ella, really he knew it was a part of the scene but he just didn’t know if he could bring himself to do it, even just pretending to do it. “I think it’d probably be more powerful if you just slapped me and stormed of, I just think that’d be like Sibyl getting the victory. Plus I don’t think I’m gonna be able to keep character going after a slap cos I’m seconds away from cracking up laughing” he said giggling lightly. “Sorry I just thought it was funny… I should probably get help for that” he said taking a deep breath to compose himself.
He put his drink down and cracked his knuckles, hearing them pop and click slightly before letting them hang at his sides. “Well I’m ready to go again, I think we just need to run it a few more times and we’ve got it. I mean apart from the slap I couldn’t tell there was any blocking problem and we fixed that up” he said heading over to get both chairs back into position. When he got to his he looked at the wall it had hit and gulped “Oh I’m in deep doo-doo” he said before turning to Ella “I think I might wanna not throw the chair that far again… come look” he said giggling a little out of nervousness as he pointed to the dent on the wall. “Reckon we can cover it?” he said still laughing, though really hoping that he didn’t get into trouble because of it.
