it's not e a s y to be me
“Well..” Cecelia let a smile play on her lips as she looked at the boy. It was as though she had this fantastic treat in store for him. Well, as far as Cecelia was concerned it was a great treat. She adored Matthew’s company and couldn’t see why anyone else wouldn’t. In Cecelia’s mind she was taking him down to strawberry fields . It didn’t really cross her mind that he might not agree. It never crossed her mind that others wouldn’t agree with her. That was just the way Cecelia was; rather self absorbed. She always assumed her ideas were flawless.
“I’ve just had the most wonderful thought. How would you like to double date, so to speak, with myself, Matthew and Adelle. It would be the perfect chance for you both to meet him.” Cecelia smiled brightly. She had told Adelle she wanted to see him before the party, just to make sure. What better way to do that? Adelle and Elliot were her best friends, and they’d be brutally honest with her about it, if they didn’t think Matthew was right for her. Though, she couldn’t see how they’d think that. He was absolutely perfect for her. In more ways then she even realised actually.
(wow. Way shit. Sorry…)

“Well..” If he didn't know any better he would probably be a little frightened of the way she said well and the little smile on her face. However Elliot knew better and he knew Cecelia very well. She was clearly very into this Matthew character and he simply hoped that he was worth the girl he considered to be one of his best friends. And if he wasn't.. Well then Elliot knew what he would and wouldn't do if her heart was broken. Nobody messed with his friends, at least not if he had anything to do with it. Elliot was just glad that he and Ceclia had retained their friendship after they broke up. Not many people can continue on a friendship after the break up of a relationship. Either they tend to break up on bad terms or they end up with it being a one sided break up with the other still madly in love with the other person. However they were lucky to have not turned out that way, and now they were simply friends in the most platonic way. Elliot didn't know if he had retained any of that kind of feelings for her after the break up but if he had they were hidden deep down in a place that he didn't plan on digging out. They really were better off friends. "I’ve just had the most wonderful thought. How would you like to double date, so to speak, with myself, Matthew and Adelle. It would be the perfect chance for you both to meet him.” Hmmm, it was an interesting idea and he did relech the idea of meeting this character before the un-birthday party. That way if he didn't like him, well he would have time to prepare himself and practice being indifferent to him. Because if Elliot met him for the first time at the party then it was possible that if he didn't get along with him he would be down right rude and Cecelia would for sure not like that. He also knew that whether or not he liked him, Cecelia would probably listen to his qualms then throw them out the window and do what she wanted. It was something he expected. And if Adelle was going to be there... He was in, though that wasn't the only reason. "Sounds like a good idea," he said.[/blockquote]
