Accident Prone; Flirtatious; Optimistic
Name: Sophie Noelle Cobbald
Nickname(s): Sophe, Sophie, Soap Box
Degree: Arts
Major: Dance
Minor: Linguistics
Age: Eighteen
Grade: Freshman
Birthdate: May 7
Orientation: Heterosexual
Location: Pheonix, Arizona
`Appearance !
Face. Sophie is a cutey patooty as she would describe herself. She has the classic baby face, hardly appearing her eighteen years. Her eyes are wide and the shade of the sky. Not a deep blue or a light almost white blue, but a blue like saphires. Light blonde lashes frame the almond shape of them. Sophie usually has to apply at least two coats of mascara just to turn them black and another to lengthen their rather stumpy length. Her face is oval in shape but verges on round when she smiles. Her smile literally lights up the room and makes her appear even more warm and friendly. Her teeth went through three years of embarrassing braces so she prides herself on her perfectly straight and white smile.
Body. Sophie is 5 foot 1 inch and proud the hell of it. Sure she has had her fair share of short jokes and the works but they've never seemed to bring her down. No pun intended. She has always been a healthy weight of just around 102 to 105 pounds, give or take a few. Then again, it hadn't ever been an issue with her. Due to her dancing since she was five she had always been trim and fit but without the bulky muscle. Her boobs are also relatively small but she always guessed it was just because she was tiny herself. Her A cup was perfectly fine with her. Or at least until she could fork up the cash to go up a size or two.
Distinguishing Characteristics. Sophie has the same piercings as most teenage girls. Her ears were first pierced when she was just a baby and the second holes were done when she turned sixteen. Her belly button ring was an entirely different story though. On her senior trip to Panama City Sophe was persuaded by her then boyfriend that a belly button piercing would be super sexy. So without her parent's knowledge she and two of her closest friends slipped in to one of those sketchy beach side piercing places. It was cute and adequate enough. That is, until is got infected and had to be redone by a more experienced person. On that exact same trip she almost got a tattoo as well. She had the whole thing sketched out. A cute little star with a big smiley face to go on the back of her neck. Everything was perfect until she realized she was afraid of needles and had a tendency to pass out. Epic failure on her part.
Fashion. Sophe's fashion sense is ridiculous to say the least. Her wardrobe is all over the place in terms of colors and styles of clothing. Bold, bright, and eclectic, the freshman can usually be seen wearing statement pieces with both girly and retro feels to them. Lace, beading, and frills dominate everything and dressing up is a must for almost every occasion. And by almost that simply means the only time she will not be seen in a dress or a skirt is when she is locked in her dorm all day or practicing in her dancing clothes.

Best Feature: "My best feature is most definitely my smile. I mean, I have a ton of good features but I did not spend three years in torturous braces to have ugly teeth. Plus, people actually tell me that they like my smile. I'm not just going ego crazy or anything. But they are a brilliant white due to my meticulous brushing and whitening techniques. IDK, that's all I guess."
Worst Feature: "If it were up to me I like most things about my body and what I don't I can always get fixed. I guess if I HAD to pick and all I would go for my feet. I mean, who likes feet anyway? Plus they are obnoxiously small. Like I am still in kid's sizes. You can't by any cute designer shoes in kid's sizes. That makes it extremely difficult to look cute myself."
`Personality !
Accident Prone. Sophie is very clumsy. She is perhaps one of the most uncoordinated people that you could ever meet. On numerous occasions she can be seen falling down a flight of stairs, running into glass doors, or something of the sort. By now she has grown use to the constant bruises and scrapes that are scattered across her body. There are scars from the time she fell out of the car, puncture wounds when she was bitten by a snake. Many people would venture to say that she appears drunk the majority of the time, due to her usual stumbling around. Sophie in fact has never even touched alcohol though, and doesn't plan on doing so in the future. All she can say about her "accidents" is thank god no one has ever reported her parents for child abuse. And yet, the clear lack of grace that she has off the stage does not show once she is on. Dancing has always come naturally to her and may be the only time of the day that she does not appear to have two left feat.
Flirtatious.Oh yes, boy is Sophie flirtatious. Flirting with boys is second nature to the girl. Just like her curiosity, she can not help it. Every bat of her eyelashes, every smile, every cute comment, usually it doesn't mean anything. Sophie tends to do all of those things around any guy. Her bubbly, confidant personality just causes her to do these things naturally. Sometimes this over flirtatiousness causes her to not only get in trouble with her current boyfriend but also random girls who don't like their boyfriend being flirted with. When she really likes a guy, she tends to get nervous. This is the most obvious way to tell if she has a crush developing, because confidence is something that Sophie usually reeks of. Antsy movements, awkward comments, usually are the clues that she drops to let someone know she likes them.
Optimistic. You wont meet a more positive nelly. Sophie is always looking at the positive side of things, to her, the glass is always half full and every cloud does have a silver lining. Take a hamster dying for example. Sure, the hamster is dead and it is a very sad occasion, but think of it this way, at least you can go and pick out a new hamster. And if you don't want one, at least you don't have to clean the smelly cage anymore. See, all better now. Something good always comes out of the bad, and as her favorite quote goes, "The night is always darkest before the dawn." Nothing gets more on her nerves then people who sit and mope about all the troubles they have had in life and just sit there being pessimistic all day. The only thing to do when something bad happens is to go and search for a way to try and fix it.

Positive Traits:
Approachable. Sophie has a warmness that attracts people to her. This could be due to the perpetual smile upon her face or the constant chattering she is doing. Whatever the reason, people find her easy to talk to. She is an overall friendly person, who will pretty much make conversation with anyone within hearing distance. She is kind, courteous and just has a welcoming appearance. She is never judgmental and is a very good listener. She doesn't hold anything in when talking about herself, as she is a very open person. This usually causes others to confide in her or share more about their past.
Charismatic. Sophie is an extraordinarily talented public speaker. She has a way of inspiring people and making people listen. She is very good with words when she is making a speech, or just instructing others. This causes people to find her as a good leader, due to her commanding "take control" personality. She has the skill required to gather people together and it gives her authority over large groups of people. When she was a child, she would host large "strikes" so that the neighborhood's children would receive a higher allowance. Although silly, these experiences continued to grow throughout the years and they have the capability of developing into something more. This charisma also gave her strong powers of persuasion. This is mainly used when trying to move a grade from a B to an A, or more importantly, when she is trying to get that extra cookie before dinner.
Sweet. Sophie doesn't have the heart to say anything mean to anyone, and has quite the difficult time standing up for herself. Even those that take advantage of her Sophie can't hate. She is incapable of disliking anyone, deep down there has to be some good and she is determined to find it. As a child, she would find herself in loads of trouble when her parents come home to see she has filled their house with lost animals she picked up on the street. Honestly, if she thought it could help, Sophie would probably give a bear a sympathy hug.
Talkative. Sophie could talk your ear off. Literally. It isn't really the fact that she loves to hear herself talk, but more that she always has stories to share and things to say. There is never a dull moment when she is around, as she is constantly livening up the party with creative tales of near death experiences and the works. Half the things she says arn't even true, if it was there would be an awful lot of things she loves. Take armadillos for example. Someone could mention that she loves armadillos and Sophie would readily agree that they are the most amazing animal. Without even thinking she just told a complete lie, because not only does she believe pandas are the best animal, she doesn't even like armadillos. See how things can get out of hand rather quickly. Don't fear, Sophie always makes a good listener and a shoulder to cry on. She can easily put her tales on hold to comfort a crying friend...or stranger. To her it doesn't really matter.
Negative Traits:
Indecisive. Probably the only thing keeping Sophie from being a great leader. She can not make a decision to save her life. Just thinking about the consequences of making the wrong choice give her the heeby-jeebies. Even simple things give her great difficulty. Should she pick the herbal essence shampoo or the more expensive salon one. She usually finds herself wasting precious time weighing all the options. This one is really expensive...but it MIGHT give my hair more bounce. But this one is cheaper and it seems to be doing a good job! Yes, the everyday choices she must make are quite the burden. Sophie wouldn't even know what to do with a large scale issue that needed to be sorted out right away.
Over Trusting. The curse of seeing the good in all people. Sophie is just begging for someone to come out and show her that there are people who have no good in them, and would readily take advantage of her overly trusting personality. Someone who would kidnap her and show no remorse over it. Sophie is not only trusting, but she is gullible. If someone told her gullible was written on the ceiling (and yes this has happened) she would firmly stand by the fact that it has to be written up there somewhere. No one could ever lie to her. She would then continue on with a careful search of the entire classroom ceiling only to come to the conclusion that the person had made an honest mistake and had not purposely lead her on this wild goose chase. Yes, it is that bad.
Curious. Sophie's curiosity has a knack for getting the girl into trouble. You know what they say, "curiosity killed the cat". In Sophie's case, it is no different. She always has to know more. If someone lets even the slightest bit of gossip slip, you can bet that Sophie will be there, prying to find out more information. Not that she would ever continue to spread it, she just tucks it away into one of the many files in her head. Sometimes she can come off as rude, due to her not always respecting others privacy. She doesn't mean to, but she can't help it. During class time, she asks many questions pertaining to the subject they may be speaking about. On multiple occasions she has noticed the gleam of frustration in the professor's eye when she just wont let the subject drop.
Greatest Ambition: Sophie's greatest ambition is to be a multi lingual prima ballerina. She's already got the first part completed. She knows four languages and all. English being her first and then French, Swedish, and Russian following after. The second part is a lot more difficult however. Prima Ballerinas are a dime in a dozen and they take extreme skill and superior work ethic. But that is the ultimate goal for Sophe. She plans on finishing college, joining a company full time and going from there.
Greatest Fear: Sophie's greatest fear in life is thunder storms. There is no telling how much danger something like that can pose to a person as accident prone as she is. The lightning, the rain, or just anything really. The only place you will find Sophe on a night like that is under her covers reading a book or trying to get some sleep.
`History !
Ashley Cobbald was the average sixteen year old. She liked to think of herself as normal at least. She was the "cute" smart girl. You know, not the smoldering sex goddess who could twist and bend the will of young men's minds and make them fall in love with her with just one bat of her eyelashes. Definitely not that kind of girl. She was cute in that school girl sort of way, pretty eyes a nice smile, you've seen them around. Ashley was always the "girl next door", always the one you want to be the mother of your children, not the one to carry around as some arm candy. And honestly, she had been perfectly fine with that. High school to her after all was more of a way to get herself into a good college, not to get wasted every Friday night.
Imagine her surprise when she found out she had been invited to one of the A lister's sweet sixteen party. It was later discovered that everyone had been invited, so she really wasn't that special. After much debate, the girl didn't think any harm would come of attending. One party wasn't going to have any lasting affects on her life and she didn't have much homework that weekend. It ended up being quite fun, sure, she wasn't the girl dancing on tables and grinding it up with the hottest guys, but she was loving spending time with her friends. Someone across the room had caught her eye however and she couldn't drop the feeling in her stomach she got whenever she looks at him.
So, for one night she let herself hang loose a little bit. Having a few drinks, chatting up the cutie. Big surprise waking up in some basement half naked. Making her escape, she climbed through the window and desperately headed for the safety of her home. Memory still fuzzy from the party, Ashley was only sure of the fact that something had to have happened between the two. Sure enough, she was right because it was only a few months later that she was sporting the latest accessory...a baby bump. Long story short, Ashley dropped out of high school and carried the baby to term. Once she had given birth, she left her daughter in the care of her mother while she finished up high school and headed for college.
Sophie Noelle Cobbald was left in the care of her grandmother for quite a few years. Sophie was born, raised, and never left the sweltering city of pheonix, arizona. But don't worry, it's a dry heat. The child was actually quite the precocious toddler. Teaparties, lemonade sales, all the usual day to day occurrences for Sophie. Her mother visited her on weekend while she was in college, her love never once faltering for the "angelic" child. And Sophie relished the time spent with her mother, every second was like a gift to her. She dreaded the day when Ashley would once again leave her for school. Although she may say it some times, Sophie was never a lonely child. She always had friends to play with and imaginary adventures to partake in. Some people would even call her lucky for not having her mother around.
When Sophie was eight years old, her mother married Damien. Although she had a mild dislike for the man, no one could deny the fact that he was perfect for Ashley. You see, Damien wasn't too fond of the idea of Sophie. Actually he wasn't too fond of the idea of children period. It was all pretty messed up though because he loved her mother and Sophe was a part of her life. This caused great confusion in the young girl's life. She struggled to find the reason for why Damien could dislike her so. It hurt her that her mother would have chosen to keep Damian over her. She never released this bit of information to the four year old but she could tell just by looking in her mother's eyes. The way her mother gazed at her new husband was the same stare that she used to give to her daughter, but it seemed there was only room enough for one person to receive that loving look.
Sophie was hurt by her mother's betrayal, but she continued with her upbeat positiveness. Although her step father was less than loved in her eyes, the little baby that he gave Ashley was more than enough for Sophie to forgive him. Jamie was just under five years younger than she was, and the girl adored her immensely. Having a little sister was like a dream come true. Well, that was until all the pooping and the crying came with her. The extra chores that she had to take on because of the new baby was a pain but she completed everything with a smile. She was pleased to that their family was more tight knit then it had been previously, and now Sophie seemed to be included in family fun. After all, by this time and the new maturity he gained with the birth of his own biological daughter, Damian realized that Sophie was not a little monster trying to screw up his perfect relationship with Ashley.
High school was rather uneventful in terms of life experiences. Sophe was studious but still extroverted. She joined a wide variety of clubs but her most time consuming activity was dance company. The class was extremely demanding and required even more practice then her already four day a week ballet and jazz lessons. Sophomore year she even joined the dance team where she was expected to learn a whole new genre of dance. She had plenty of friends but just as many who were annoyed by her personality. When the time came to pick a college based on her interests, Sophie knew that her future was in dance.

Best Memory: Sophie's best memory was when she was six years old. This was before her mother married Damien. It was the very first dance recital that her mother had been able to attend. And also the last. As she stood on stage posing as a dancing sunflower, her mind was completely turned towards her mother's face. Of course this meant she screwed up royally. Her mother didn't care about the poor performance though, she simply took her daughter for ice cream afterward. As sad and pathetic the memory may seem. it was one of the few times that Sophie and her mother were able to share alone time, free from the painful hardships of the world.
Worst Memory: Sophie's worst memory was the night of her freshman homecoming. No this is not the classic, boy asks girl out because of a joke or whatever. That night was the night that Sophie began one of the greatest nights of her life only to be called by her hysterical mother mid dance to tell her that her primary caretaker for a good portion of her life, her grandmother, had passed on from a heart attack. She was only fourteen and the incident devastated her. She was literally in a whole for about a month where she completely withdrew herself from all forms of social gathering. Eventually she got over it, well not over it, but she dealt with it, and she managed to build herself up and fix her life.

`Writing Skill !
1:36 pm. it was hot. that could only mean one thing to the pretty blue eyes of sophie cobbald; it was pool time. the fifteen year old listed off the things she had told herself to remember in her head. she had to do this quite frequently, writing things to remember down that is. after all, her memory wasn't exactly spot on and it would be a shame for her to forget something of importance. an actual bathing suit would be one of those objects on her list. and yes, she had forgotten that once. the memory was still fresh with pain in her mind and it was one of those, "don't ask, don"t tell" stories anyway. but anywho, her swimsuit was on. check! sunscreen. check! hot bod, oh that's right, she always had that. check! once she had carefully processed that all the essentials were ready to go, sophe made her way the short distance from her house to the pool.
it was actually quite the pretty day once you got past the heat. some birds were chirping and the faint sound of the ice cream truck could be heard in the distance. it was the kind of day that make sophie happy. granted, she was happy a good portion of the time but these particular details made her have an extra wide smile this afternoon. her long blond hair was pulled into a messy side braid, tied with a ribbon of course, and her nails were the perfect shade of hot pink. or was it fuchsia? and yes, to sophie there was a very subtle difference.
the walk to the pool took just over five minutes but upon arriving the girl was pleased to see it was quite crowded, most people would find this a nuisance. little kids and rowdy teenagers weren't ideal when trying to relax. but see, sophie was a people person and that meant she was generally in a better mood when she was associating with said people. it didn't take long for her to plot her course of action. hopscotch around the four year olds in water wingies. slowly prance by the group of hot guys [giving her famous wink of course], and finally, squeeze past the dark haired chick by the pools edge. all was going well of course. she even got a smile back from one of the guys. that is, until her squeezing was not exactly up to par and she managed to bump into the other girl.

the walk to the pool took just over five minutes but upon arriving the girl was pleased to see it was quite crowded, most people would find this a nuisance. little kids and rowdy teenagers weren't ideal when trying to relax. but see, sophie was a people person and that meant she was generally in a better mood when she was associating with said people. it didn't take long for her to plot her course of action. hopscotch around the four year olds in water wingies. slowly prance by the group of hot guys [giving her famous wink of course], and finally, squeeze past the dark haired chick by the pools edge. all was going well of course. she even got a smile back from one of the guys. that is, until her squeezing was not exactly up to par and she managed to bump into the other girl.
