`Maxine Lilian Thomas !!!
``unique ``determined ``happy
Name: Maxine Lilian Thomas
Nickname(s): Max, Maxxy
Major: Music
Age: Nineteen
Grade: Sophmore
Birthdate: May 14th
Orientation: Heterosexual
Location: a small town in British Columbia, Canada, but also a small town in Maine.
`Appearance ,,
Hair
Max has long blond hair. It hangs in spirally curls over her shoulders and reaches about to her mid back. Max loves her hair and loves to play with styles. No two days in a row will she wear her hair in the same style. One day it may hang straight over her shoulders the next it may be curly. One day she may tie it back into two braids and the next it will be done into a ponytail. She enjoys playing with her hair style. Occasionally she uses dye to alter her hair colour but not that often as she loves her natural colour.
Face
Max has a heart shaped face. It ends in a slight cleft chin. Her skin is fair and as a child and a younger teen she never had a problem with acne or pimples. She doesn't tan well and rather then tanning she burns. So she doesn't spend a lot of time in the sun without protection. Her eyes are a bright blue colour. And sometimes when she is sad, and crying her eyes get really blue, or at least they look slightly bluer. Her lips are of medium size and have a natural soft pink colour.
Body
Max has a slim figure. Her chest isn't large for which she is greatful for. Max is self concious of her body and that is one of the reasons why she doesn't like revealing clothes. She stands at 5'6" and isn't one of the tallest people in the room, but she really isn't the shortest either. Her weight is a number that she doesn't know. Because she is self concious of her body she chooses not to weigh herself all that often. However if one could guess by looking at Max they would probably say about 120 lbs and Max would say higher.
Distinguishing Characteristics
Secretly this summer Max went out to a tattoo parlour and got a tattoo on the small of her back, its a very pretty rose. She doesn't show it to people usually. So unless she's wearing some sort of two piece bathing suit there's little chance that you'll see it. Another thing she has is a star on her foot that she eventually want to get tattooed on but generally she just draws it on with sharpie. Also on her stomach at just about her waist line she has a small patch of skin thats paler then the rest. Her ears are pierced twice for both ear. Lastly she has a tiny blue barbell hanging from her belly button.

Best Feature: "I know everyone's answer to this question is their eyes, and mine will be too. It's kind of lame to go with the crowds in a situation like this, but I truly believe that my eyes are one of the things that make me me, and make me pop."
Worst Feature: "I'm not a huge fan of my body, a typical girl thing to say, but unfortunately I'm kind of self concious about how I look and often I tend to feel that I am fat even if I'm not. So essentially I think thats my worst feature."

`Personality ,,
Unique
Max is a rather unique kind of person. She likes to follow her own path, and make her own rules. However the key word there is likes. She doesn't always get her way and while that can make her a little upset she just tries to get back to her "normal" path. Normal isn't the right word perhaps but it's not of a large consequence to our topic today. Unlike most girls her age, Max doesn't desire constant contact with people. She savours her alone time, and generally she doesn't have oodles of friends. The friends she does have she keeps close to her heart.
Determined
Max is extremely determined. She sets goals and then works hard to make them. She doesn't like failure and so she feels the need to work as hard as she does to achieve her goals. This girl has big plans, and she also has the determination to make them come to life. If anyone can achieve their goals it'll be Max. She isn't one to delegate tasks, she likes getting things done her way. Its not because she thinks other people won't do things as well as she does, its because she likes knowing that everything is going to get done to her standards, and she tends to have high standards.
Happy
Max is generally a happy person. She would much rather have a smile on her face then tears on her cheeks. She's peppy in that way and very enthusiatic. It takes a lot to get her worked up and make her upset. After all she had three older brothers so anything that most people do to her will not even register on the scales of how happy she is. Her brothers are really the only ones that can get under her skin and thats only because they have years of practice. But whats to say that someone here won't be able to get under her skin more then they do? One never knows. But anyways, Max is a happy girl. She believes that every minute of sadness is sixty seconds of happiness you'll never get back. However, she isn't insensitive. If one of her friends is upset she will sympathize with them and will do her best to make them feel better.

Positive Traits:
Enthusiastic -- Max is ehnthusiastic. She loves the things that she loves and she likes to be happy. Happiness and enthusiasm are top on her list of things. She has school spirit and though she was never a cheer leader she thinks, or thought that perhaps that would be a cool thing to try. Even if it was only one time.
Faith in Life -- Max believes in life. She believes that if you strive for something, you can achieve it. She believes if you try, and keep trying, you will eventually succeed. Perhaps it's naive but she really doesn't care.
Flexible -- Max is a bit stubborn, but if she sees your viewpoint and it makes sense to her, well then she is willing to modify her view point. It doesn't make her totally flexible but she is willing to adapt to change which is a good thing.
Negative Traits:
Immature -- Being the youngest of four, Max can be a little immature. Its not always a bad thing but it can be kind of annoying at times. This is only a partial bad trait because at times she can be quite mature. It all depends on the situation that she's in.
Naive -- Max tends to be sort of naive. She is young, so being naive can come with the territory. Other then around Canada a little and around the states even less, she doesn't have much travel experience.
Stubborn -- Max likes things to be done her way. She likes to defend her position. She does defend her position. She defends it viciously until she realizes that perhaps she is wrong, in which case she is willing to relent. But until then Max won't recede a step.
Greatest Ambition: "I think it would be pretty cool to become famous one day. -laughs- I dunno if it's my greatest ambition but I still think it would be pretty cool. I just don't know what I would want to be famous for. How cliche is that though? But who cares about cliche, I believe that one day the world will know the name of Maxine Lilian Thomas. -smiles-"
Greatest Fear: "I am absolutely terrifyed of mortifying myself in front of my peers, whether it be that I tripped and fell in front of every one, or that I spilled on myself. In a way it's kind of lame but my memories of previous embaressments keep me up late at night. Like normally I try not to care what people think of me, but it doesn't help that I'm ridiculously clumsy and can trip over nothing."

`History ,,
Maxine was born on May 14 more then seventeen years ago. She came into this world in such a manner that caused her parents worry. When she entered the sterile air of the hospital in which she was born she did not cry. She just sort of blinked and stared up at the doctor with big blue green eyes. Then he carefully handed her as a tiny baby to her mother who lay on the bed. Her mother, Jennifer, fell in love with her instantly. Then she was handed over to her father and he fell in love with her as well. She was not the first the first child born to this couple. She was the first daughter though, and she was their last child.
Maxine was the only daughter in a family with three sons already. Her older brothers were unsure of how they felt when the tiny blond baby was brought home. But they soon grew accustomed to the quiet baby. The older two siblings knew what babies usually meant. They had told the younger brother about the horror stories of little babies. So all were wary when their parents first brought Maxine home. But when it turned out that Maxine was not like other babies they warmed to her.
Maxine grew up in a small and remote town in British Columbia, Canada. She started kindergarten in her fifth year of life and immediately enjoyed school. She loved colouring and socializing with kids her own age. Her brothers were all well and good but they were boys and older and none of them had any time to spare for their annoying five year old little sister. So Maxine spent a lot of time with a lot of girls her age. She made friends easily but was painfully shy with adults and other boys.
Maxine enjoyed kindergarten but when it came to full time and full day schooling she lost her love for school. Grades one through four zoomed by and are mostly a blur for Maxine. Her brothers have memories of her but they choose not to tell her about them. The actual reason though that Maxine can't remember what happened is that in Grade four, well the summer after, she was in a car accident. She was crossing the street when a car came and hit her.
She broke three ribs and received a major concussion. For the most part she got off easy. But she went into a coma for one week. When Maxine came out of the coma she couldn't really remember anything. It took her the rest of the month of July to recall what had happened. And she still has trouble remembering a lot of her earlier childhood.
In grade six Maxine began to develop. It turns out that she was growing into her body. She developed in the chest area and boys began to pay attention to her. Her older brothers were less then thrilled about this, especially when their own friends began to notice this fact. So they kind of threatened any boys that may possibly be interested in her and scared them away.
Maxine didn't mind though. She wasn't hugely interested in boys at the moment. She was more coming into her interests. She had discovered a love for singing, and even better, she had found out that she was actually very talented at singing. Also in grade six she got braces. She was unhappy about that but there wasn't much she could really do about it. She kind of just had to live with the fact that she had them and would have them for two whole years.
In grade seven her school offered a talent show to the students. She entered and practiced for weeks. She taught herself how to play guitar in preparation. When the talent show came around she was ready! She got on stage and pulled off an amazing performance. No one had really realized she could sing. But now they knew.
Also in grade seven Maxine fell for a boy. She fell for him hard. Unfortunately he was either uninterested in her, or was scared off by her brothers. Maxine made a fool of herself, or so she thought. Her brothers just laughed it off and told her she was better off with out him. She was frustrated by them and ignored them for a whole week. That was the max that she could ignore them.
Her next school year was her first year of high school. In high school everything changed for her. Her group of friends separated and Maxine was left alone. She didn't mind too much. She felt it would give her an opportunity to make new friends. It was a good opportunity after all. Unfortunately she was unlucky in the making of new friends.
Maxine had an awful year and accordingly began looking for a boarding school she could go to. She searched all across Canada and when she couldn't find one she liked she turned her search to the States. On her many web searches she finally found one she liked. This one was called St Marcus Boarding School and it was located in Maine.
She told her parents about it, and explained her feelings. She told them how out of place she felt at school and how she really wanted to have friends again. She felt like she needed to move there. It took a lot of convincing but finally her parents agreed. Maxine was thrilled and began filling out lots and lots of forms in order to get accepted at SMBS.
Finally she recieved a letter in return. She was accepted.
The summer before grade nine was spent on outings with her family and buying things that Maxine would need for school. Maxine was ready for a brand new school where she could be whoever she wanted to be which, when it all came down to it was Maxine Thomas.
Her one year older brother, Kyle, taught her how to skateboard that summer. He said that that was all he could offer her for something to remember him by. Maxine laughed it off and said "I'm not dying Kyle." But each member of her family offered her something different. They were careful not to yell at her and such the like. Maxine wondered if their was something they weren't telling her.
But anyways. She moved away at the end of the summer and came to SMBS. She aclimatized quite nicely to the atmosphere of the school. She made friends and sang.
She had also had to choose her school that year. Her parents had wanted her to attend a school closer to home like UBC or UVic but Max wasn't ready to stay in Canada just yet. She decided that she wanted to attend a school in Seattle called Washington University of the Arts. It was slightly closer to home so her parents accepted her decision, allbeit reluctantly.
Now she enters her sophomore year at University, and who knows whats going to happen next.

Best Memory: Her best memory is probably the day that she got her acceptance to St. Marcus Boarding School. She had just had some of her worst months of school and the letter made the last few weeks so much better. Up until that day she had been doubting her acceptance and doubting it. But when she recieved that letter a huge pressure was lifted off of her shoulders.
Worst Memory: Max's worst memory is of her first year of high school. She realized that all of her previous group of friends were splitting up and that she didn't really fall into any of the cliques that their small high school had. It is technically a years worth of memories but its a years worth of her worst ones.
