Name: Delilah Grace Manning
Nickname(s): Lili, Lilah, Eli [eh lee]
Major: Journalism
Age: Nineteen
Grade: Freshman
Birthdate: The thirtieth of July
Orientation: Heterosexual
Location: Chicago, Illinois
`Appearance ,,
OH , madame menue !
Delilah is a very petite young lady. She has a curvy stature and a nice pair of super long legs. Her torso is one of her best features and she likes to show it off with shirts that fit snuggly to her body...no, she doesn't wear inappropriate clothes. She normally rocks her legs with a nice pair of Charlotte Rousse skinny jeans. Delilah loves a good outfit that shows off her hard work -- although she has a nice body, it doesn't come easily. Delilah is found at the gym three times a week for two hours. She also eats healthy foods to keep her body nice and slim. One of her biggest fears is becoming over weight...she couldn't really picture herself fat. It just wouldn't suit her at all!
OH , madame joli !
Delilah has a very pretty appearance. Like stated before, she keeps her body in very well shape. She has beautiful wavy hair that reaches halfway down her back. She normally just runs mousse or some other simple product in her hair to make it look slightly curvy. Her hair is said to be one of her best attributes. Along with a pretty mane, Delilah has chocolate brown eyes. They have a mysterious look to them that sometimes catches people off guard. Although she doesn't mean to, Delilah is known to be the giver of some intense stares. So, dont be offended if you see her looking at you like your trash, its just the way her eyes are! Delilah also has very prominent cheek bones that are usually decorated with a light pink blush. When she smiles, her cheek bones make the smile a pretty one. They stick out the most in her photographs.
OH , madame est élégant !
Delilah is very fashionable. She likes to treat herself with designer clothes occasionally to make her feel good about the hard work she puts into her weekly workouts. However, Delilah only buys label clothes as Thrift stores. She thinks its quite pointless to buy brand new Gucci shoes for more than two hundred when you can buy them for a lot less at a Thrift store. Yet, she cant pass up her favorite store, Charlotte Rousse. She practically lives off of their skinny jeans and cute tanks. Rarely will you see Delilah an anything else. However, during the weekends when she stays at home, her favorite pieces od clothing are nice warm sweatshirts with comfy pants!

Best Feature:
"I like my hair and my eyes the best out of my many attributes. My hair is always simply done quite easily, and I love how my eyes look with or without makeup. They're kind of dark and mysterious...I like that a lot!"
Worst Feature:
"I've always hated my feet. I think they are, like, two sizes too small. It's so embarrassing to go to a shoe shop with my girlfriends because they always comment on how abnormally tiny they are!"[/size]
`Personality ,,
LOVING !
Delilah is a very kind hearted person. She likes to treat people with the respect that they deserve and she enjoys making people feel good about themselves in even the most down situations. Delilah treats people the way she would want to be treated. She likes to feel special and worthy of peoples attention, so she believes she ought to express the same feelings towards others. However, Delilah has a major flaw in her loving personality. She's one to hold a grudge or to be bitter towards someone who did her wrong. She doesn't particularly enjoy that attribute very much, but she's been working extremely hard to change.
OUTGOING !
Ahh, one of her favorite things to be. Delilah is a very outgoing person. She tends to hang out with the larger crowds...yet, every once in a while secluding herself to the quieter people for some peace. She likes to have fun with people and normally is the person to start said fun. She doesn't take life for granted and she lives it like there's no tomorrow. She's made a heck of a lot of mistakes, but Deliliah tends to shove that aside and look at a brighter side. She also likes to encourage people to be more outgoing. She doesn't not like quiet people, she just wishes that the introverted kids were more outward. Sure, it's cause more drama but at least she'd hear conversations flowing. As you can tell, Delilah hates silence.
SLIGHTLY COMPETITIVE !
One of her character flaws. Delilah is competitve to things that she does. For example, when she writes, she has to be the best or she'll be disheartened and discouraged. She likes to come out on top and hates, absolutely hates, being the underdog. She is also competitive in other areas, such as guys, friendships, and life in general. She knows its a crappy character trait, but it's a part of who she is. Delilah is the most competitive with her enemies, though. If her enemies/rivals are good at something specific, Deliliah would do it just to try and beat them -- not for the actual pleasure of doing it.

Positive Traits:
Delilah likes the glass half full instead of half empty. She tends to look at the brighter side of things, even in the most terrible of situations.
! friendly
Even if she doesn't know you that well, it's every intention of Delilah to get to know you. She's a true and loyaly friend for life, if you give her the chance to be.
! funny
She likes to think that she has a humorous side. Normally, it's by spontaniety or by a random moment that she gets the most laughs. However, the awkward silences after her jokes are quite the knee slapper.

Negative Traits:
Delilah makes the mistake of comparing herself to others. She'll especially bring herself down when she see's that someone else puts her writing to shame. To be quite honest, it's not a very pleasant trait, but like said many times before, she is trying to get better.
! slightly afraid
Because of her outgoing personality, Delilah has always been afraid that one day people would just stop talking to her and leave her alone. She knows its a stupid lie to buy into, but its hard for her not to.
! quite blunt
She'll tell it like it is. If she's pissed at you, she'll tell you. If she loves you, well...thats a different story. Delilah tends to share a lot more information than needed at times and mentally slaps herself when she does.[/ul]

`History ,,
"On April Fifteenth, my parents we married at the Hollaway Plaza in New York City. They were absolutely in love...Or so they told me. When I was a little girl, they'd always talk about how much effort had to go into a relationship and they would always gloat about how good of a relationship they shared. I kind of always bought into what they said. My dad got me excited about finding true love. He seemed like he loved my mother at the time. There was no doubt that she loved him back. Thats why it still hurt to think about their divorce. I was only seven when my dad had an affair with his co worker, who happened to be my moms best friend. They did it on the floor of my dad office. I mean, really, What the hell? Anyway, ever since then, my mom hasn't so much blinked towards another man. And I dont blame her.
We've been the two pea's in a pod for as long as I can remember. Even when my mom was still married, we would always do stuff together. She would always let me play with her hair when I was younger and as I got older, she was the one who sat next to me as I took my driving permit test. I never really saw my dad after her had sex with Carrie. I'm sort of glad I didnt...ya know, my bitterness issue? Anyway, I guess I should get to the part about my history. So, here it goes...It's really quite simple to tell.
I grew up in Chicago, Illinois. In the snow, the cold, the wet. I loved it there. Thats why I had no problem moving here, to Washington. I actually like it a whole lot better than Chicago! But I really dont have that much to say about my life growing up. I just stuck with my mom. Wherever she went, I went. Thats what inspired me to write. After she died of cancer, I couldn't bare the pain alone. Thats why I wrote it down on paper...Wasn't in me anymore. It still hurts to talk about so I'm going to wrap this up, but she's my inspiration behind everything I do. I love you, mom."

Best Memory:
"It would definitly be when my mom let me play with her long blonde hair. Ha! Blonde. I dont know how she had blonde hair, but damn was it gorgeous! Anyway, I had accidently cut a chunk out of her hair with my fake scissors. I was too scared to tell her, so she found out the next day whilst at work. I thought she'd kill me, but instead, she cropped her hair short. When she came home, we just looked at each other and laughed. She was the most wonderful woman I'd ever known."
Worst Memory:
"My moms death. It was a few months ago...about three weeks from her birthday. I was just sitting on the couch watcing One Tree Hill, and I heard a loud crash. She had fallen because she was tired from her radiation. She cracked her skull...and it somehow spread the cancer even more. That day was horrible...and I still remember every sound of the loud siren in the ambulance and the heart monitor that played a steady tune when she left."

`Writing Skill ,,
Jenna did not take pressure all that well. She normally was the recipient of horrid migraines and tense shoulders. This meeting with Tristan was no exception. After all had been said and done on the night she broke up with him, this occurrence happened almost all the time. Whenever she thought about not being with the only guy she had ever loved, she would feel like the whole world had piled on the weight of its burdens. She would often think that therapy would resolve her issues, but it hadn’t resolved anything through her depression. It only made her dwell more on the fact that she wanted to feel pain. Now, it was the complete opposite. She wished that she couldn’t feel the burden of breaking up with the love of her life. Although she had a very logical reason to end their past relationship, she couldn’t help but feel that she ruined fate. She belonged with Tristan, and he belonged with her. If she ever saw him with another girl, she knew she wouldn’t be able to handle the pain or rejection.
Trying to get her thoughts together, Jenna didn’t notice that Tristan had taken the seat next to hers until she felt the pressure from his elbows on the table. She was so desperate to touch his face so she could really know that he was there. However, she knew that it would only inflict more pain when she wasn’t with him for any period of time. She sighed heavily and blinked back the tears she knew were forming. She hated to cry in public…especially in the presence of a former boyfriend. Jenna had no thoughts on what to say next. When they were dating, there was never any awkward silences or moments of complete stillness. She didn’t like to hear other peoples conversation…especially the people next to them. They were apparently getting married in two months and five days. Regardless of the pain she was in, Jenna had always been a very observant person.
She especially hated how her hands were shaking. She didn’t know if it was from the nervous feeling she had or from the fear she felt towards Tristan. During their relationship, she never had any reason to fear him. Yet with the disastrous situation with him and Kara, she had never fully been comfortable with talking or seeing him. She guessed it was just because she couldn’t bare to go through such a thing again. She hadn’t seen her best friend since a week after the rape and she hadn’t talked to her for about a month. In the midst of Tristan’s mistake, Jenna had lost a beloved boyfriend and a loyal best friend. Yet…she still had room in her heart to erase his mistakes and replace it with the love she had for Tristan.
As he began to speak to her, she perked up and listened intently. Tristan always knew the right things to say in any situation. Unless, of course, he was drunk and angry. She suppressed a smile as he caught himself from saying sorry. He knew her so well…almost too well. As he continued to talk, she made up her own conversation in her head. She believed him to be good for her…regardless if it was true. He was a loving and caring boyfriend when he wasn’t intoxicated. She too wished for the things her eventually stated out loud. Wishing was one of the problems in their relationship now, though. She found it difficult to hope for a wish that would probably never come true. However, one of them did as she felt his hand pull hers away from her face. Her heart skipped a beat but she made sure to not look him in the eye. She wasn’t assured that the salt water was fully dried away from her eyelids.
When he pulled his large hand away, Jenna’s heart and stomach sunk. She liked to feel his hand - it gave her comfort. Regardless, her hand was left alone on the table while his was pulled back to where his other hand laid. When he said sorry for the millionth time, her head jerked up. She didn’t like it that he felt the need to apologize for touching her hand. Her eyebrows furrowed together and her hand reached out for his. Once her hand was intertwined with his, Jenna said, “Please don’t apologize for touching my hand. I think that there are a lot more important things we need to talk about.” Jenna tried to give a reassuring smile but failed.
"I want to trust you. I didnt mean to sound crude but Tristan, I dont know where to begin. I guess thats part of the reason why I'm here. We left on a bad note and I hate crappy endings. So...whats next 'cause I dont think I can just le-leave." Jenna stammered, pulling away her hand and trying to stiffle the tears that were about to erupt for real.
