You can't see the things that I can see - - x - - There wasn't much that Amanda could compare with the enjoyment of fiddling around with a new camera or video recorder. Except... maybe parties, if they were good. She absolutely loved taking random photos and videos of the real world in action. Though posed and staged pictures and videos were sometimes nice, she much preferred the realistic nature of taking a shot when nobody knows what you're doing. In fact, she was actually quite frequently found to hold scandalous information that she'd captured in a random video or picture. Let's just say people have paid her not to publish certain things.
Today, she was documenting a day on the campus of WUofA, with her newest video recorder. The girl hadn't exactly planned it, she was just occupying herself with something to do, rather than befriend boredom. Yes, this party girl has hobbies other than drinking, dancing, and boys. She decided that today, she'd hit various locations on campus and simply videotape the events surrounding her, without any explanation to the subjects. If anyone asked, her answer would be "course project", when really, it was just a little social experiment she thought up herself. She was curious to see if people acted differently if they were aware of the camera or not.
Beetles was her first spot, and she'd already been taping the short walk to the cafe itself. One guy had whistled at her, and another seemed to have spotted the camera and given her a strange look. What? Was it really that odd to find a student at the university holding a camera? At an Art school? She turned her head slightly to the small microphone that was attached to the sloping lavender v-neck sweater she wore. 'Apparently that one either hates my outfit, or doesn't know that the school offers film as a major.' she commented, glancing at the small screen projected behind the camera in front of her. It was then she decided that maybe holding the recorder up wasn't the best idea, so she propped it in the opening of her black leather shoulder bag and draped her jacket overtop so it was less visible. There, now she didn't look so obvious with her experiment.
After entering Beetles, she walked up to the counter, which was open, and ordered a steeped earl grey tea with cream, her usual. The young woman behind the counter snatched Amanda's cash out of her hand and tossed the change back at her, grunting something inaubible before motioning to the far counter where another employee had prepared the drink and placed it. A smirk crossed the blonde's facial expression and she nodded. "Thank-you, and have a nice day yourself." she replied, her words hinted with sarcasm. Walking to retrieve her drink, she whispered into the mic. 'Looks like someone's got her panties in a bunch.'.
Finding a table, Amanda carried her tea with her and set it down, also placing her bag on the surface, the hidden camera strategically positioned to observe the busiest area of the cafe. Pulling up a chair, she sipped her tea and glanced at the other customers before her eye caught a male looking in her direction. Winking at him, she boldly licked her lips in an overly seductive fashion and watched him turn away uncomfortably. A small grin formed on her face and she laughed. 'Ah, the predictable male. He backs off when the target shows no fear of a little creepy interest' she commented quietly into the mic, tasting her hot tea once more with a satisfied smirk on her features.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Next time you steal, better ask before you borrowThis label "thief", find a better title suited for you Beetles was probably the last place that a person would expect to find Callie. She'd usually be found at a bar, or a club, or something of that nature. Not curled up to a cup of coffee and a laptop at a table that was littered with newspaper clippings. Oh no. The Vanderbilt girl had very little time for school work. At least, that's what she liked to let on. But right now, she had to publish an article for some out of state journal. They were doing a page on the icebergs in the Antarctic, and Callie had been assigned the research. Her partner (some no-name freshman) was to put everything else together. At least she'd charmed her way into that.
But research was difficult with a massive hangover. It seemed too loud everywhere else with Oktoberfest in full swing, so she found herself at Beetles. It was quiet, modest, and had the best cup of coffee. The only cup, in fact, that could cure the girl's hangover. No other coffee could do it. Callie sipped idly at her mug, typing a few words into her outline. Icebergs. What could be more fascinating? She couldn't help but let her mind wander to other, probably more important, matters. Like the fact that her best friend was now head of the Sorority. And had she bothered to tell Callie of her intentions? Not a word. It was good that the journalist checked Sally Sekrit.
Could she be mad? No, it was up to Mandy to do whatever she pleased with her Sorority hopes. Even if it did make Callie look bad. Had she applied to be the leading lady? Well.. no. But that didn't mean that her best friend could hog the glory. "Fuck..." she closed her eyes, shutting the computer before rubbing her temple. It hurt too much to get angry. And she couldn't get this damn outline finished. The Beetles coffee hadn't kicked in, and Callie was slightly miserable without it. She felt as if she could puke or pass out in the chair. But she wouldn't, because then her hardcore reputation would slide down. And she didn't need anymore of that.
When she opened her eyes, Callie spotted the absolute last person she wanted to see at the exact moment in time. There she was, Delta Gamma's new president; her trademark camera and all. Callie sat up in her chair, messing with the end of her ponytail. She'd dressed like a slob today, only managing to slip a pair of black sweatpants on as well as her WUoA sweatshirt. It was a bum day until she planned to go out again. Nothing spectacular. Callie arose from her chair, gathering her things as well as the coffee. Maybe it would give her some courage as well as an escape from the hangover.
"And there she is, the woman of the hour," she said just loud enough for Mandy to hear as she approached, "Miss Delta Gamma President herself, Amanda Marina Amos!" Callie didn't mean to sound sarcastic nor mean. This was.. somewhat genuine happiness for her friend. And that had to mean something.

You can't see the things that I can see - - x - - Mandy wasn't all that surprised that wherever she went, people knew who she was, or at least in some way recognized her. Especially now that she was the president of the Delta Gamma sorority, Amanda even more of a hot topic on campus. The attention was obviously nice, but she wasn't the type that dwelled on it just to get by. Callie, her best friend, seemed to be more of an attention addict. In contrast, Mandy didn't really care whether or not she lived up to other people's expectations, just her own. The few odd looks and glances in her direction made a little smirk cross her facial expression, and she added quiet commentary to her video. So far, nothing out of the ordinary had happened...yet.
The familiar voice of Miss Callie stole Mandy's attention, and she observed the girl walking towards her. Somehow, she must've missed seeing her best friend sitting in the cafe when she walked in. Maybe it was because the girl was looking quite drab and dull, quite likely hungover. Of course, Amanda was close enough friends with Callie that they've been through everything together, so she knew the girl through her good and bad days. The words she spoke seemed friendly, but for some reason a little bitter. Mandy suspected it was because she hadn't really mentioned to Callie her new sorority presidency. The girl didn't feel she had to check in with her best friend before making a decision. Amanda really didn't let people control her, and maybe that was the reason for some of the tensions existing in her and Callie's friendship.
Applying for the Delta Gamma president spot had really been a last minute fluke decision. The girl had never expected to win, so it was a total surprise when she did. There were other girls who seemed to want the position more, but so far Mandy was enjoying it, and doing quite well. She was proving to be incredibly different than all of the past sorority presidents, and the role was something new to her. Amanda could handle a challenge, and so far this was the perfect one for her.
Amanda lifted a hand to the side of her face and let a mock bashful sort of look appear in her expression, to play along with the idea of importance that Callie was providing her. "Oh please, don't make me blush, darling." she joked, a smirk on her face now. "And if it isn't my bestest buddy, in a cafe!? drinking coffee? I can't believe it." the girl teased, lifting her hot tea in the air as if a toast to the moment before sipping it and setting it back on the table. She pulled her bag with the camera closer and took it out from underneath her sweater, aiming it at Callie. "Miss Vanderbilt, please share with us what your plans are for today, what brings you to grace us with your presence here at Beetles?" she asked, her voice mocking an interviewer-like tone.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Next time you steal, better ask before you borrowThis label "thief", find a better title suited for you It wasn't pure coincidence that they were best friends. They practically invented the 'party girl' attitude that all the freshmen were picking up. They made the college full of alcoholics, sluts, and addicts. But that wasn't a bad thing to put a name on. Callie rather liked the attention. Sure, it was probably a bad reputation to have, but that didn't stop her from doing it. The girl couldn't deny it, she loved attention. She loved the feeling of being talked about and being asked if things said about her were actually true. It was weird. Usually, Callie hated being gossiped about. But now, if she wasn't talked about, the girl felt oddly empty. And she hated that feeling.
With a small sigh, Callie pushed her bangs out of her face, giving Mandy a warm smile. Even though she felt slightly threatened by her best friend's new appointment, she didn't want that to get in the way of having a good chat. She didn't need to feel mediocre, even though she did. Regardless, the Vanderbilt tried to push those things aside to have a good talk with her best friend. It was the least they could do. They hadn't been hanging out as much lately thanks to the Sorority stuff. But there were always things to talk about around the campus. Who was with who, who was cheating, who was now a drunk, who dropped out... stuff like that. Mandy was always a good person to gossip with.
Callie sat down, setting her things on the seat next to her. Had Mandy even meant to apply? Was it just a little joke and she didn't even expect to win? That's what it sounded like. But she could pull off the shocked Miss America look. The 'look shocked, wipe away a tear, hug the loser, and make your way down the aisle' look. She'd been around enough actors to be able to do it by now. Callie would never say it outloud, but she had been slightly paranoid about Mandy taking a hierarchy after she heard about the Sorority appointment. She couldn't help it. No one should get more attention than her. Callie was cynical.
"Oh I'm sooo sorry, dah-ling," the girl laughed, putting a hand to her mouth, "And yes, yes I am. You know that Beetles has the perfect 'cure for a hangover' cup of coffee. We found that out years ago." She raised her own cup, taking a long drink. Maybe that was the key to the cure. Eyes watching the camera, she pressed her lips together, as if thinking long and hard about her answer. "I would love to answer that question, Miss Amos, but first I have to thank you for letting me come on the show. But anyway, my plan for today is to drink until my hangover is gone, work on my papers, and then go out again. I'll probably repeat the same process by tomorrow," Callie laughed, again taking a sip of the coffee. "And just what are you doing here on this fantastic day?"

You can't see the things that I can see - - x - - There was no doubt about the fact that Callie and Amanda had a very close, yet unique friendship. They had always found tons of things in common, but at the same time, plenty of differences. The two were like rivals in some ways, and Mandy was usually pretty good at dealing with competition. It wasn't as if Callie was competition for her sorority presidency, but Mandy was pretty sure Callie thought that she deserved to be. In fact, Mandy wouldn't be surprised if Callie thought she would have made a better president than her best friend. Either way, those weren't Amanda's insecurities, she wasn't worried at all. With a friendship like theirs, they seemed to survive through more than people could imagine, so a little jealousy wasn't something new.
Best friends have each other's backs, and no matter what Mandy and Callie really do trust each other. These girls have always known their places, especially in the WUofA community. Sometimes Mandy found that because she was such close friends with Callie, everyone expected the two of them to be identical, which has never been the case. Those who really know the girls, know that each is an individual with her own personality, and not a clone.
A smile crossed Mandy's expression and she looked down at the camera, before steadily lifting her tea for another taste. How could she have forgotten their epic hangover-cure mission from years ago? It must've slipped her mind. But she nodded in agreement, a small laugh escaping her throat.
"Oh, you're very welcome. Anytime." she replied, in response to Callie expressing gratitude for the appearance in Mandy's 'show'. Listening to the girl explain the plan for her day, there was no surprise in Amanda's response, but as she took on the persona of an interviewer, she expressed a bit more concern. "Well that sounds like quite an involved schedule. I do hope you know that making time for a best friend is actually quite an important detail that you need to add in there, hun." Amanda smiled, winking. Oh, how they loved to joke.
"I happen to be enjoying a fantastic cup of tea, while documenting the ever-so-exciting events that go on here during the day at Beetles." the girl answered with a shrug. "But you know, so far you've been the only interesting subject.... Besides the chipper young lady serving beverages over there..." she stopped to point the camera in the direction of the bitter employee who'd grabbed Mandy's money from her earlier. "..She's been quite lovely to observe, in a workplace she is obviously thrilled to be a part of." Mandy added, sarcastically.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Next time you steal, better ask before you borrowThis label "thief", find a better title suited for you Of course they were competitive, what friends didn't compete? And especially best friends. It was almost a constant thing. But it was controlled, kept down to a fun little competition, but if things ever got out of hand... well, they dealt with it. They'd been through enough together to clear things up with a few drinks and a few words. It'd been like that since their freshman year and WUoA. Callie didn't like to say that she got jealous, but she, like many others before her, had emotions. And sometimes, just sometimes, she was known to get a bit more jealous than normal... and a hell of a lot more competitive. But that was just the person that she was. The Vanderbilts were known for their uncanny sense of drive. And did Callie have it? Oh hell yeah.
But, just to clarify things, Callie always had Mandy's back. Through thick and thin. Even if they were in the most epic fight in the world, the girl was sure to back up her best friend. It was one of those.. best friend.. things. Most people didn't understand it, but that was only because they didn't have the connection that the two girls did. They were best friends not only because they meshed well, but because of the respect and appreciation they had for each other. There had always been a respect between the two girls that not many people could fathom. But who didn't like a little mystery like that?
Callie smiled at her best friend, resting her chin on her hand and listening astutely as Mandy explained her day. "Oh I wouldn't even worry about it, I'm here aren't I?" Callie laughed. "And of course I expected to find you here. We have a the... mind-melding connection, remember?" It was a joke, obviously, but that's how they always were. So many inside jokes, so many 'I guess you had to be there' moments. They could practically carry on a conversation filled with meaningless drivel that no one else would understand.
"Exciting?" the blonde sputtered, looking around the dull room. This probably wasn't the right place to film daily lives in college, but it was Mandy's film... and she was good at it too. Callie glanced over to the girl, smirking a little and giving a nod to her friend. "Oh she was a bitch to me too. If I wasn't so hungover, I'd give her a piece of my mind. But, she isn't worth my time," she laughed a little, looking down at her cup of coffee. "What are you doing tonight, Mand?"

You can't see the things that I can see - - x - - "That's true, I'm not worried. This is evidence that you haven't forgotten about me." Mandy replied, smiling lightly. Figuring she'd rather choose a more exciting place for her next film location, she turned the power off on her camera and put it back in her bag, lifting her tea to take a long sip. Laughing as she put the cup back on the surface of the table, the girl nodded in agreement with her friend. "Ah, that's right. Our mind connection. Honestly, why do we need the luxury of texting when we've got a brain-to-brain connection?" she joked. Yes, it was as if Callie and Mandy were close enough to speak their own language. They had so many of their inside jokes that sometimes if people were to listen to them speak, they'd definitely be utterly lost. You just can't explain an inside joke to another person, because it isn't the same. Sometimes only Callie and Amanda actually understand what the other is talking about, so really they sort of do have a unique mind-melding connection. Glancing back at the grouchy employee at the counter, another little smirk crossed Amanda's facial expression and she sipped her drink again. "Yeah same, If i was in a bad mood I'd probably have cussed her out or something.. she paused, taking a brief look at the other customers in the cafe, thinking for a moment. "But you know, there's always the chance that if you call them out on their bitchyness they'll put stuff in your coffee, or short-change you or something. I know that if I had her job, I would." She suggested, laughing quietly. It would probably be satisfying to put some kind of nasty dishwater in a person's coffee after they've treated you like dirt. That sounded awfully mean, but Amanda was the type that would do it, out of vengeance. Letting her attention return to Callie, Amanda thought for a moment before answering the girl's question. "So far, I don't have any plans. Why? You have anything in mind?" she asked, remembering that Callie had mentioned in the 'interview' that she was probably going to go out later. If that was the case, Mandy would probably be up for it, considering they were both party girls.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Next time you steal, better ask before you borrowThis label "thief", find a better title suited for you Callie arched her eyebrow slightly. "What makes you think that I could forget about you, sweetie?" she said sweetly, batting her eyelashes slightly for effect. Already, she was starting to feel better. The hangover was going away, partially thanks to the Beetles coffee and her best friend. It was always better to have someone to suffer with, even if they weren't suffering. At least she had an ear to complain to. "I think it's the mind-connection that's the luxury, not the texting," she grinned, giving just a small shrug. "But however you wanna look at it, it's fucking cool." She offered a laugh.
Inside jokes were the best thing that best friends could have. For example, a single word could set the girls off. A single action could send them to tears. It was just the way they worked. And of course they knew what each other was thinking when something was said. It was another one of those best friend things. But with the fun came competition, but they usually let it settle without much confrontation. That just led to messy endings. And Callie never liked those.
Giving another dirty glance to the cashier, Callie smiled briefly to Mandy. "We should just got up there, order something really complicated, watch her make it, and then tell her that it's exactly what we didn't want, and then leave," she thought devilishly. It would be fun. But she could see where Mandy was coming from. She'd hate to work her all day too. "But I guess she has an excuse. I'd probably end up shooting myself if I had to have a job like this. Just too many... weirdos," she shuddered for effect, taking a drink of the coffee. "I'd probably end up doing the same thing she did to you... only worse."
Callie tapped a finger to her lips thoughtfully. She really didn't have any idea of what she might do during the night, but it would certainly involve a party. "I dunno..." she said slowly, trying to think of something. "I was thinking about maybe having a few people over to the apartment... you know, just because." She gave a small shrug, figuring that there was probably something much better going on that Mandy was aware of. They always knew the most when it came to partying. And their reputations reflected it.

You can't see the things that I can see - - x - - A pleasantly innocent smile crossed over Amanda's expression and she tilted her head slightly. "Aww I know, how could anyone forget about lil' ol' meee." she cooed jokingly, putting on a fake southern accent and batting her eyelashes back in response to Callie's mock sweetheart statement. Laughing quietly, she sipped her tea a few times and then nodded in agreement with her friend. "Hey that's definitely true. Hell yeah baby, people wish they had the connection we do." she said cheerily, winking at the blonde across the table from her.
Listening to Callie's ideas for mental torture of the Beetle's employee, Mandy found herself in quite approval of the girl's mischevious plotting. Though in a way it was kind of mean, it was also amusing, and... you know, they'd eventually get over it. "I agree, good plan! We'll be all....yessss I'd like a triple espresso non-fat caramel mint chip one-percent no-foam raspberry extra hot white chocolate red tea house blend chai spice latte." she smirked, sipping her tea. It was honestly quite annoying when customers in front of her ordered wacky shit like that and took forever before letting Amanda place her order. She just knew that if she had to serve people like that it'd be even more stressful.
"Right, and if you ever work at a place like this you can be damn sure that I'd come in to visit you every day and annoy the hell out of you just for kicks." she said with an assuring nod. "I'd be your favorite customer, right? would you loooove me?" she asked jokingly, a brow arched as she spoke. Before waiting for an answer from Callie, she shook her head and then smiled. "No you would. I know it. Don't even need to ask, my friend."
After a couple more sips of tea, Mandy glanced across the cafe at a group of people who were getting up to leave, and then back to her friend. A party at Callie's apartment? You never need a reason for that. "Sounds cool. I'll come. And if not, we should hit up Fuel, I heard a few people are thinking about going there later on." she added.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Next time you steal, better ask before you borrowThis label "thief", find a better title suited for you "I dunno," Callie said, smiling as she took a sip of her coffee. "I mean, it's virtually impossible." The hangover was beginning to lose it's grip on her head. She was now pretty much functional with the rest of the world. Maybe she could even grasp the thought of talking about the Sorority thing. "I swear, everyone must get more and more jealous of us every day," she giggled. Half of her believed this to be true. Why wouldn't everyone want to be like them? They were beautiful with money and power. Not to mention, they were known to be the biggest party girls on campus. The other half thought more logically. Maybe it was a bad reputation to have.
Callie believed that everyone got what they had coming to them. If an employee to a coffee shop treated one of her friends wrongly, she would plot the demise for the employee. It was like the circle of life. Well, kind of. "Exactly! And then, as they were scrambling to make it, we'd slowly slip out," she sipped again and the coffee. "It's the perfect revenge plan!" She would probably hate if she were the person working on that drink, only to be thrown for a loop as the girls slipped out. But, it wasn't her. It was someone else. And, everyone had that one job that treated them like crap. Callie figured her thought process was logical, and when she was feeling better, she could probably carry out the deed.
She snorted, looking around the cafe. "Oh God, you'd never find me in a place like this. Too dull, too dreary. No, I'll be at a night club somewhere, so you'd have to find me first to get free drinks," the girl smiled happily, picturing herself in an actual club. Actually, it wasn't that hard to do. "And of course you'd be my favorite. I don't know what I'd do without your business anyway." She didn't need to answer the question, but felt that it deserved at least a little acknowledgment. After all, Mandy had asked so sweetly.
Apartment parties were a staple in their normal party diet. Callie tried to have one at least every two weeks, if not sooner. Actually, it all depended on how big they were and how many people messed up her things. During the week, there were game nights where a few girls and guys would get together and play cards and drink. But that hardly qualified as a party. "Well it really wasn't an option that you come. It was more like, 'You'll be there, I don't care if you've fallen off a bridge'," the blonde said with a smile. "All right, we could do a pre-party at my apartment, go to Fuel, then come back for a post-party. Sound good?"

You can't see the things that I can see - - x - - Amanda really wasn't a forgettable person. Whether she was remembered because of something she did, or said, good or bad, it kind of didn't matter. Either way, people knew who she was. It was scary to think about a world where people did not know the face behind her name. Mind you, the majority of the memories she created with people were good ones, it wasn't as if she had a ton of bad first impressions with people that created a hate club against her. For the most part, people remembered Mandy as one of two girls you could count on to have a good time with. She and Callie were always the life of any party, and even if you were simply spending the day with just Amanda herself, she almost always had a way to make it fun. "If I wasn't me, I'd be jealous." she agreed with a smirk, sipping her tea a few more times. Damn did they sound full of themselves, but hey, Callie and Mandy could pull it off. "Indeed, the perfect plan. I say we save the execution for another day though, it'll throw her off even more because she won't see it coming." she suggested. Right now, Mandy wasn't in the mood to be a spiteful bitch, she'd save it for another day. As Callie analyzed the place and suggested she'd rather be in a club, Amanda observed a rather nice looking young man walk into the cafe, only to have a clumsy girl dump her coffee down the front of his crisp blue shirt. Chuckling lightly, Mandy looked across the table at her friend once again. "What are you talking about, this place is so not dull!" she said with a laugh. If you tried hard enough, you could find amusement in the everyday occurances at Beetles. "I feel ya though. A club would be more fun. I definitely think you should follow this through, and hook me up with free drinks." she agreed, absently watching a few people exit the cafe. "I'd be your best customer, but considering you won't make me pay for drinks, i'm not sure what kind of help i'd be to the 'business'.." she said with a smirk, sipping her tea. The girl could definitely see herself liking the idea of having such connections at a club. Except she realized that she and Callie already did have a taste of what it would be like, considering how many important people they'd met through their clubbing endeavours. The girl was beginning to feel rather excited for the evening's plans. "Sounds good to me, are we inviting specifics, or pretty much anyone?" she asked, a brow risen as she spoke. Usually Amanda liked to invite anyone, and whoever decided to show up was welcome. There were few people she didn't ever welcome among her company.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Next time you steal, better ask before you borrowThis label "thief", find a better title suited for you Callie didn't figure that she was much of a forgettable person either. Usually, though, it was for something crazy that she'd done. Like throwing cupcakes off the roof of school her senior year in high school, or screaming 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds' by the Beatles at the top of her lungs. She was known for making those gutsy and sometimes completely foolish decisions. Like her counterpart, Callie could be counted on for making someone's night better with her shenanigans. "Now you're speaking my language," the girl grinned. Yeah, she'd probably be jealous of herself and Mandy if she wasn't one of the fabled party girls of WUoA. They had a right to be full of themselves. It was a big deal to be as big as they were. Did that sound conceited?
Giving the other girl a nod, Callie grinned. "Of course. Sneak attack, it's the perfect plan. I like your style Amos," she said with a snicker. Gazing around Beetles, the blonde began to rethink her idea of working at a place like this. Despite the heavy coffee orders, it would be a good place to just relax. And coming into work hungover wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. She'd just pay for some coffee and sip it on the side. Callie let out a small laugh, watching as the young man tried to wipe off the spill. "Well, I've certainly seen better entertainment at Fuel," she commented. "But yeah, that was pretty funny." A person could probably find amusement at any job if they stayed there long enough.
Callie again started laughing. "Maybe I'd have to keep you away. I already said I'd give you free drinks... but sooner or later, you'd pay me back," she thought for a moment. "Actually, it wouldn't hurt if you slipped me into a movie or something. Or maybe just gave me all the money that you make. Yeah, that'd be a good option." She shrugged her shoulders, only half kidding. Starring in a movie would be a good experience, plus, the money would be good. The girl had seen some of her best friend's work... and it was good. Probably better than a lot of people already in Hollywood could do. And that was her honest opinion.
With another shrug, Callie finished off the last of her coffee. "Whatever works. We'll invite the regulars and then if they want to bring people, that'll be okay," she said. "Unless you just wanted to put out an open invite. But, that sometimes leads to the weirdos."

--------------------- `*-Amanda Amos
You can't see the things that I can see - - x - - "Oh of course there's better entertainment at Fuel, everything is more entertaining when there's alcohol around." she said with a smirk, glancing at the man with the fresh coffee spill on his shirt. Truly, there were probably countless things that Amanda and Callie spent forever laughing about while they were intoxicated, things that would not normally have been so funny if they'd been sober. For instance, if they'd been drunk while sitting in Beetles, and saw the coffee-spilling incident, they may have well been rolling on the floor laughing at how hilarious it would have seemed to them.
At Callie's suggestion of slipping her into a film, or giving her money, Amanda laughed, sipping her tea. "Of course I'd pay you back." she said with a grin, finishing the last of her drink before setting the empty cup back on the table and leaning back in her seat. "Yeah, I definitely could slip you into a movie." she agreed, laughing quietly. She knew Callie was joking about giving her friend her earnings, but with Mandy's talent, there was no doubt that being in one of her films would earn a sufficient amount of money anyway.
"Alright, i'll invite a few, spread the word... maybe I'll see if any of the sorority girls want to come along.." she suggested, hoping that Callie would be okay with that. "Any weirdos and we'll take care of 'em. Y'know.. Callie and Mandy style." she said with a wink. They knew how to take care of problem people that wanted to ruin their fun, or be unnecessarily involved in things that they weren't welcome to. There had been quite a few times in the past where people have attempted to ruin a party of theirs, but not many were successful. ooc: sorry for the shortness >.<[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Next time you steal, better ask before you borrowThis label "thief", find a better title suited for you With a small snicker, Callie nodded. "Well of course. There's always those sunshine twins on uppers. I'm not quite sure what their deal, it must be the amount of alcohol that just seems to flow through their bodies without much hesitation," she grinned slightly. Oh they had their fair share of inside jokes, mostly coming from moments like this when inspiration struck to laugh at anyone and anything. Most of them revolved around being drunk, but that was no matter. As long as they remembered it it was a good time. "Remember when they were singing I Want It That Way at the top of their lungs. Oh gawd I almost busted a lung from laughing so hard." She started to laugh again, recalling the situation when the two obvious underage cosmic girls turned into what they thought were the hottest things on Fuel's dance floor. Yes, this was one of Mandy and Callie's classic inside jokes. And how they enjoyed their inside jokes.
Callie didn't have any doubt that Mandy would pay her back for free drinks. They always did things like that for each other. That's what best friends did. A little bit of give, a little bit of take. Eventually, everything would work out in the end and they would be even. "Awesome," the blonde said with a grin. "Make sure you get my good side, though. Not my... hem... hungover side." She turned her head to the side, pulling the hood to her sweatshirt over her head. Not many people got to see Callie Vanderbilt like this. She was unkempt, and it bothered her. And she certainly wouldn't appear in a movie like this. No way, no how.
At the mention of the sorority, Callie couldn't help but cringe just a little. The stupid sorority. Did they have to be a part of it? She smiled briefly, trying to shrug off the fact that those were the last girls she wanted tromping around her house. "Sure, that'd be fine," Callie said curtly, putting her hood down and nodding. "Of course, no weirdos are allowed in my house. Especially not for a party." With just a little swish and flick of her magic wand like Harry Potter, the pair could make anyone with a bad vibe leave a party. It was never physical, though. Mostly psychological. And boy, they could both get into people's heads.
