Haven't you heard? Curvy is in this season. Well, at least in the world of Ella Torres it is. Ella has never been, and never will be a completely slim girl. Which is actually perfectly fine by her. Ella came to terms a long time ago with her size, and decided she'd either have to stop eating all the carb loaded foods she loved and live on salads, or learn to love her curvy form. Clearly she chose the latter. After all what fun is life if you can’t enjoy good food? None at all really. One thing you can say for Ella though, is that she carries he weight rather well and looks completely proportioned.
` Face
Given that both her parents are of Puerto Rican decent, it is no surprise that Ella has a caramel complexion. Even in winter, when her skin barely sees the sun she still maintains a rather nice tan. Of course, in the summer it grows a few shades darker with all the sun exposure, but still. Coupled with her darker complexion, is her dark hair. Mere shades away from being black, her dark brown hair falls in thick layers around her shoulders. Ella is a rather welcoming and open looking person. Her chocolate brown eyes are warm and draw people in and her smile completely takes over her face. It’s more of a grin actually.
`Style
Ella has two considerations when it comes to clothes. The first being if it is comfortable. Of course she likes to, from time to time, dress up but she always tries to find things that not only look good, but feel good to wear. The second thing she considers is if the style suits her shape. Ella has, unlike some larger girls, learned that some things just don’t suit a curvy figure. If you are going to love your body, you may as well take some pride to dress it the best way possible. One of her pet hates actually is seeing girls in clothes that are completely wrong for their fuller figure. Come on girls! It’s not that hard..

Ella is a highly caring person. Even when she hasn’t exactly dealt with the same sort of thing, she is very understanding of a person and what they may be going through. She prides herself on always being there when her friends need her, even if they don’t realise they need her. She is often thought of as like a mother figure, swinging between a soft comforting attitude when the person needs some TLC, and a firm, no fuss, take charge attitude when she feels the person needs to spring into action.
` Cynical
While mostly about herself, Ella can be a very cynical person. When it comes to others she is always telling them to be positive and think of the best, but when it comes back to her she can be rather negative. Thinking the worst in herself, and always assuming the worst will happen. She can often work herself up into such a state, fretting about things that haven’t and may not even happen, all because she doesn’t think good will happen to her. This cynical side to Ella has a lot to do with her internal lack of self confidence. Even if to others she does appear rather confident.

Ella is a spicy Porte Rican woman, and when I say that I mean you don’t want to bite her because she has a bite of her own. She is strong, and has the stubbornness of a donkey. When she’s dead against something you’ll know it, and you probably shouldn’t try and change her mind unless you feel like a fight. When she is against something, she generally has good reason to be. She doesn’t just get lame ideas in her head. For instance if a friend decided they want to climb a building, you can be sure if Ella found out she’d actually forbid them to do it. Again with the mother vibe..

Being the eldest of six, Ella grew up in a very different family. The Torres family were not exactly wealthy, so Ella learnt early on in life that there were more important things then money. For instance, birthdays usually were about home made gifts and doing something fun as a family, and not large presents. Her parents are warm, nurturing people, who, while Ella was growing up, did everything they could to provide for their children. Ella can’t say they ever went without basic needs, or love. Hugs were common in the Torres house hold.
That isn’t to say it was always a serene place to be. It was often hectic, especially since the second youngest of Ella’s siblings are actually twins. The older Ella got, and the more siblings she had, the more found herself helping out her mother. She was often the mediator in younger siblings arguments, or the baby sitter while her parents were at work. With her father working two jobs and her mother working full time, it meant there was a lot more Ella had her siblings had to do to help out. Of course like any teenager there were times Ella hated it, but on the whole she understood how hard it was for her parents to juggle six children and work.
Especially considering the children all attended a selective arts school. Yes, Ella’s family had all been ‘bitten by the acting bug’. It was clear in Ella at a young age that she was a performer, and most of her siblings followed suite. It wasn’t strange for the Torres children to put on shows in the backyard, or make up skits in the living room. Considering though, that both Ella’s parents came from heavily creative families, it wasn’t strange to have a house full of actors, dancers and a musician or two.

Best Memory: “My best memory would have to be the Christmas when I was twelve. By that stage all my other siblings were born, so there was six of us and for Christmas we got a trampoline. At the time we all thought that was the most amazing thing we’d ever seen. We spent the entire morning bouncing around on it in the snow, until ma had a go at dad for letting us stay outside so long, and we all had to go inside to warm up.”
Worst Memory: “Well. It’s a long story, sort of. When I was in grade eleven I fell in love. I thought he was a really nice gay and we had a lot in common. We were friends and eventually started seeing each other. After about three months I had sex with him. I knew it was too early, that I wasn’t ready.. but I did it. Things were okay for a little while, until I found out. He wasn’t a nice guy at all actually. It had been sort of like, a cruel game. Someone had told him I was too good for him, so he took that as a challenge… and well. Yeah. I felt so… amazingly stupid for ever thinking a guy like him, good looking, and all that would ever like me..”
