Intelligent, Callous, Arrogant
Name: Oliver Morgan Clark
Nickname(s): Olly or Oliver
Degree: Medicine
Major: Dental
Minor: Applied Medicine
Age: 21
Grade: Senior
Birthdate: February 14
Orientation: Heterosexual
Location: Maui, Hawaii
`Appearance !
Hair. Oliver has the classic bedhead hair going on. If he wants it to look nicer for whatever reason he can always gel it back but otherwise it tends to stick up in a variety of ways. It's a dark brown in coloring, nothing super about it and it can be vaguely described as shaggy. It is worn and naturally pushed back due to Olly's constant touching of it. He does it when he's nervous, pushing his hair back that is. On special occasions it is slicked back but otherwise it is very low maintenance.
Face. Oliver has a squarish oval face. It has some strong angles and a decent jaw line or whatever that is. Honestly he could care less about that kind of stuff. It is relatively free of pimples seeing as how he dealt with the acne stage back in high school. He would like to believe he has nice skin. His eyes are a little squinty for his taste. It is almost as if he is constantly shielding his pupils from the sun or something. The color is nice though, a soft, serene shade of blue. It's a good color combination. The blue eyes with the brown hair.
Body. Olly is toned but not overly so. He played baseball throughout high school so there were certain requirements about being in the gym that he had to meet. He's got a six pack and firm biceps but he has never seen himself as one of the muscular guys. He stands pretty tall a 6 foot 2 and weighs a little over average for a guy of his stature.
Fashion. T-shirts and athletic shorts arn't really this guy's style. He prefers the more classy, preppy look. He was born and raised well so he's always had the finer things in life from italian shoes to designer clothing. He's no stranger to ralph lauren polos and plaid shorts. Actually, that is usually his everyday attire. He doesn't shy away from colors and actually embraces them in his wardrobe. He's one of those guys that you see wearing expensive shades all the time and you're like "Oh he's one of those guys..." You know what I mean. He likes to look presentable to say the least.

Best Feature: "Pshh, dude check out my bone structure. I'm thinking model potential. All the angles and stuff has to be good for something. I've got a nice strong jaw. Haha, who the hell am I kidding? Best feature? I've got no clue."
Worst Feature: "Hmm, a worst feature? Maybe my lips. I don't really know but I've never actually had some one say 'hey, I like your lips.' So I guess that's it then."
`Personality !
Intelligent. Oliver is extremely intelligent, he always has been. All the way back in middle school he was the nerdy kid who over prepared for tests and made straight A's. In high school he grew out of the awkward stage, studied less, and excelled even still. Naturally intelligent? Maybe. Or maybe it was his genetics. Both his parents are brilliant and they always believed their son would be just the same. But it isn't just book smarts that get Olly by. He has common sense, street smarts. He knows his way around the block well enough to hold his own in a fight and he definitely has the physical strength to match. He's destined to be a success. He was voted on it in high school superlatives. "Most Likely to be Successful" was the title and he certainly has the brain and the drive to make it happen.
Callous. Oliver is unemotional to the extreme and first impressions can give off that he doesn't have a soft spot in his body. His baby sister used to tell him he had no heart. He has always cared about himself before all others and he doesn't take in to account people's feelings when he breaks up with them or something else. But while he may appear callous he only does it to protect himself. If he blocks out the hurt and pain of others it helps him deal with his own emotions. Whether a turn off or a turn on is for girls to decide. Some girls like that hardened cold persona and others like the sensitive type. Either way, it'll take a lot to break through his heartbroken, unemotional exterior.
Arrogant. Olly is full of himself. He is the most intelligent, the most wanted, and the all around best at everything; according to himself that is. He can't really help it that he believes he is holier then though, it was the way he was raised. His father is an extremely powerful businessman and showed his son that the way to command respect is to believe wholly that it is deserved. He's proud and proud of it. His cockiness gets on a lot of people's nerves but it is no more than the average jock's. It is easily dealt with and can be knocked down a peg swiftly by someone who can handle him. Show him that you deserve his respect and he will give it to you no problem. To him everything has to be earned.

Positive Traits:
Ambitious. Oliver knows he is going places in life and will do what it takes to get him there. He's used and abused people to get what he wants and will continue doing so as long as it is effective. His ambition is what keeps him going. Having goals helps him keep from having some kind of self explosion. He's always been this way, he's always been ruthless. Even before Bea. It just took a turn for the worse after she broke his heart. He's a workaholic and that often gets in the way of his relationships, but it does help him academically.
Charming. Why do girl's find the cold uncaring people as the ones they want most? Oliver will never fully understand why women see him as attractive seeing as how he hardly tries. Girlfriends are difficult for him to maintain, especially as he still has feelings for his first love. However, whenever he is looking for some fun, no strings attached, Olly has never had a problem sweet talking the ladies. He has a cute crooked smile, genuine good looks, and he knows exactly what to say to make a girl smile. He can "play" the sensitive caring guy if he really wanted to and he can play the "aloof bad boy" as well.
Fearless. Tornadoes, slasher flicks, heights, you name it and Oliver will prove he's not afraid of it. Maybe he just likes to be a little bit of a show off but it's always fun to play the hero sometimes. And face it, who doesn't like a big, strong man to protect you from the evils of the world. He wasn't always this way though. Actually, when he was younger there were a lot of things that frightened the young boy. Planes, gorillas, and the boogy man were among these things and as cliche as it sounds, he was deathly afraid of spiders. It wasn't some massive breakthrough when he hit puberty that made him overcome these fears, but once again his overbearing father was to blame....or to thank depending on which way you look at it. But either way, being a "scaredy whiner" was unacceptable to one of the most ruthless of business men and Oliver learned the hard way to either buck up or get lost.
Romantic. Yes, mega lame. Or at least in Olly's eyes. He can't help it though, he's a sucker for the whole flowers, candles, romance kind of stuff. It isn't very often that he gets sucked in by a girl, but when he actually falls, he falls hard and will do whatever it takes to make her happy. So yeah, it might not be exactly the first word to come to mind when people say Oliver's name, but when you really get to know him, it makes sense. But don't expect it, that is the worst thing you can do. It takes a lot to get to that place where Olly feels like he really trusts someone and until then you better expect the same jerk treatment as everyone else receives.
Negative Traits:
Controlling. Control is the one thing that Olly fears to lose. When he doesn't have the power he starts to get anxious, and starts to go down hill a little in all his actions. He's a born leader that feels the need to lead his life and his destiny. Fate is nonexistent to him and you get what you deserve based on the amount of work and effort you put in. It isn't so much as if he likes to be in control of other people's lives, just his own. He's not going to tell you what to wear or to eat but he's not going to take kindly to when other people try to tell him what to do.
Cynical. Oh yes, Oliver is a cynic. But then again, after everything it seems almost obvious that he would be. His girlfriend dumping him for no apparent reason, his father using people for monetary gain left and right, and even his mother lies to her people in order to get elected. So yes, Oliver doesn't just believe, but knows, that it is human nature to promote his or her own self interest. He's even adopted that idea. Do you think he really wants to touch people's teeth for a living? Hell no but check out the amount of money people make doing that kind of stuff. He's got his ulterior motives same as anyone else. In a world like this who has the freedom to do what one is truly passionate about anyway? He's continuously distrustful of everyone around him and in a way believes that everyone is simply trying to bring him down.
Jealous. The nasty green eyed monster that is the downfall of many a good men also plagues mister Oliver Clark. When he attaches himself to somebody, whether it is a friend, girlfriend, or his sister, he gets jealous just by seeing them hanging out with someone other than him. A terrible trait to have but he can't control it and that frustrates him. When he yearns for attention, he demands it. When that attention is placed elsewhere he longs for it. Sometimes he has drifted to believe that his jealousy was the cause of his breakup with Bea. But he refuses to do anything about it. To him it is perfectly reasonable to get jealous over other people.
Heartbroken. Being heartbroken is what many attribute his cold personality to be from. Honestly though he was always cold even before Bea. The story itself isn't that complicated. Oliver met Bea when he was a Sophomore and she was a Freshman. The two were friends, completely platonic, all the way up until just before his graduation when he pushed to be more. She didn't want to ruin the friendship blah blah blah. Point of the story is the couple lasted barely four months before she broke up with him. In person of course, keeping it classy. She gave no reason and showed no intention of salvaging their previous friendship. Olly went off to college but he never forgot her and still torments himself as to why she would break it off with him so quickly. The poor boy's heart was irreparable and he is almost certain he will never love again. Over dramatic if you ask me.
Greatest Ambition: Oliver's greatest goal in life is to be leader of the free world. Just kidding. Actually he just wants his father to be proud of him. His whole life he has struggled to get good grades, to get in to a good college, and to date people he believed his father would like. The more successful he is the closer he gets to that ultimate approval that he desperately seeks. It's kind of twisted what he would do to get it.
Greatest Fear: Oliver isn't afraid of a lot of things in his life but his greatest fear would be to fail. Cliche as it is, Olly couldn't even imagine the disappointment that failing at life would bring him. His second greatest fear would be something happening to his baby sister. If he were to let anything happen to her, that would be the greatest failure in his eyes of all.
`History !
Malcolm Clark met Evelyn Hale during his graduate years at Columbia University. She was beautiful and smart, he was hansom and smart. It seemed like quite a smart match. It was their families that introduced the two to each other. Both came from wealthy and distinguished families and it only seemed right that they would become a couple. They were not exactly the most compatible people. Both being extremely headstrong and ambitious caused arguments that would last for weeks. And yet, there was a certain level of affection between the two.
After college Evelyn through herself in to the world of politics. She was a steadfast Republican with big dreams in mind. Malcolm on the other hand went in to business with his father. Buying and selling land and businesses so quickly that money was never an issue for the then engaged pair. After marriage it seemed only normal to start thinking about children. Neither were particularly desperate to have them but neither hated children either. Plus, Malcolm wanted a son. Everyman wanted a son to leave their legacy to. On February 14, Valentines Day, Oliver Morgan Clark was born. He was eight pounds seven ounces and screaming right from the start.
Oliver was named after his grandfather and as a child his father had big dreams for him. He was to take over the family business among other things. Unfortunately though his parents were extreme busy bodies. His mother always seemed to be working on her current campaign and even before Oliver was born his father was rarely ever home. Of course, the best nannies were hired to keep their son educated and entertained. It was never really enough for Olly though. He required constant company and stimulation and yearned for the kind of affection only parents can give.
When Olly was two his mother gave birth to his new baby sister Roxana. Roxana was exactly the kind of company that he needed. As the two grew up they found friends and comfort in each other. Of course, the coming of a second child was only more praise to put in her mother's newspaper headlines. The only time the family was ever actually together was for photo shoots. His workaholic parents created quite the broken family and due to his father's business the family moved around a lot. 6 months here, 4 there. It made it difficult for the school aged children to make friends. It was a running joke between the two that they shouldn't even unpack their suitcases.
Roxana always made excuses for their parents while Oliver never bought it. He recognized the differences between their family and his school mates. Their final move was to Maui, Hawaii when Oliver was fourteen and Roxy was twelve. He was just entering high school for his freshman year. Things remained rather uneventful. He joined the baseball team; his father never attended any of his games. He won and the biology award in school; his father didn't attend the award ceremony. That was pretty much the routine. His parents were only in his life to make sure he got the best of everything and to make sure that he cared about his studies.
During his sophomore year he met his best friend Bea. Bea understood because she too had a family who didn't quite get her. She came to all his baseball games and sat beside his sister Roxy. Things remained average for a couple of years. Evelyn was elected as governor and Malcolm's business continued to thrive. Olly was busy working with his counselor to determine his options for college. Pretty much anything was within his reach financially and academically.

Best Memory: Oliver's best memory was the day he finally stood up to his father. It was just recently actually. His freshman year of college he was about to declare his major in dentistry. His father put up a huge fit, threatening to disinherit him and all that jazz. You see, he always believed that Oliver was going to go in to a partnership with him and eventually take over the company. Olly steadfastly refused. He did not want to become his father and finally told him that he was in control of his own life.
Worst Memory: Oliver's worst memory was the period of time after Bea broke up with him. A four month relationship that ended in breakup, big whoop! And yet, it devastated Olly because not only did he lose his girlfriend but his best friend for no apparent reason. That summer and the first few months of college, Oliver avoided most social situations. It was only after he finally dealt with those emotions that he was able to pull himself back on his feet.
